Suggestions welcome!
I take 150mg of Levo and 1200mg of
Tegretol
for my Epilespy per day. I am female and aged 47 years old. I still feel lack lustre, lazy and lack enthusiasm for anything, plus a general lack of energy.

Medication
I have looked at the list of medication and my two tablets
Tegretol
and citalopram do clash. Will this interfere with my weight loss. When I spoke to the instructor at WW she said the tablet was too small to make any difference! Will it effect my metabolism?

To medicate or not to medicate?
I was prescribed
Tegretol
at the time; after experiencing adverse side effects I discontinued the use of any Meds. I am 32 now and had my first "concious" seizure two weeks ago. I have been to see a Neurologist and have been prescribed Epitec 100mg.

Anticonvulsants such as epilim,
tegretol
and other medications used to treat epilepsy may exacerbate the effects of alcohol and recreational drugs and thus lead to serious intoxication and crippling of the body.

Time Off for good behaviour [taking meds and not overdoing things] - I know I am extremely lucky. Not bragging, just saying its possible.
I take
Tegretol
for my epilepsy, cannot have anti inflamatory meds because of reflux, but have Lyrica, Amitriptyline, co-dydramol, Vit D, migraine meds too but I forget that name. Wishing you all good health. Soft hugs

Epilim (sodium valproate) - wrecks havoc with thyroid?
I've been taking both Epilim (sodium valproate) and
Tegretol
(carbamazepine) for about 20+ years. I read a medical paper sometime ago that mentioned Epilim can disrupt the thyroid functions.

Does Amitriptyline cause bloating, swelling, increase in weight? And is there an alternative for someone who has epilepsy and reflux?
I also take Lyrica, Co-Dydramol,
Tegretol
for epilepsy and cannot use anti-inflamatories as I have reflux. If you could give me some suggestions for my doctor to investigate I would appreciate it. Thank you for your help! Soft hugs

Worried Mum
This took 2 years to diagnose then after a reaction to
Tegretol
, called Stevens Johnson Syndrome which was frightening, with no medication the pain returned. We flew up to see a neurologist in Sydney who put her on Gabapantin then she went on a trial of Vitamin B12.

How can I ease the pain please? Hands - stiffness, hypermobility, bruising, overly react to temperature.
Every finger joint yells at me and thats having taken Lyrica, Amytriptyline and
Tegretol
- plus two co-dydramol when this happens. I even wear arthritis gloves. I have told you what my mornings are like. If anyone else has experienced anything like this, how do you deal?

Sensitive to the point of pain - are my medications causing it, rather than resolving it?
I also take
tegretol
for epilepsy. I am not allowed to take anti-inflamatories owing to reflux. The amytriptyline is for my restless leg sydrome and poor sleep I believe.
