Maybe I'm paranoid
Hi ladies, Just wanted to voice this as I'm really anxious. About 2.5 weeks ago I developed period ache in my back without the period, was prescribed antibiotics for urine infection. Had my period as normal last week. Symptoms calmed but came back yesterday and today with added gas burping after swollowing

Private blood test confusion!
Hi, If someone doesn't mind helping I'd really appreciate it. Sorry if this is a question only I can answer but I'm so confused and it's stressing me out. I'm looking into private tests and trying to find the cheapest way of getting everything I need. But I'm not quite sure what that is. I'm petrified

CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A PRIVATE DOCTOR WHO WILL TREAT HIGH THYROID ANTIBODY RESULTS (HASHMITOS)
Hi, My TSH, T4 and FT3 blood tests were normal but my thyroid antibodies were 464. I am looking for a Doctor who is happy to treat going by the results of the thyroid antibodies. I have requested a list from Loiuse but don't know which doctors will treat on this basis. I noticed that most of them carry

Does anyone know if a urine MMA test is more accurate than a blood MMA please?
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help please? I had a MMA blood test last year ( via St Thomas) as a follow on from Active b12 test. I'm wishing to do a retest, but will have to pay as my dr prefers not to get involved in case it affects the frequency of my injections. My symptoms are returning prior to my

Abdominal ache
Hi Just wondering if lower abdominal pain is a symptom of OC or chemotherapy. Mum didn't have treatment this week as they thought she had a water infection. Her urine sample is all clear but the dull ache is still there especially when sitting down. It gets worse as the day goes on. Has anyone had anything

Excessive Facial Hair
Hi everyone, You may remember my post about 3 weeks ago, well today I returned to the doctors to see if I could get some Oestrogen as I have too much testosterone. I was asked to do a urine sample and as it showed white bloods cells in it the appointment switched to that and I am now having bloods

A little update.
I spoke to my GP last Monday. He said he was glad I was doing ok on the 75mg of levo, I am 3 weeks in now. I told him I want to give it 6-7 weeks and then I will re test my bloods. The call I had from him 3 weeks ago upset me as he said if my fatigue didn't lift he wanted to see me after 2 weeks on

Adrenal test: Genova or Blue Horizon?
Apologies, I have edited the post to include my diagnosis and treatment. I'm ordering tests to guide me (not an NHS gp). BH adrenal saliva is discounted w any purchase over £50 and I'm already ordering a full thyroid panel w rt3. It looks like the BH test is cortisol only whereas the Genova saliva test

Painful periods and choosing a doctor?
I am new to this community, and I'm also living in the United States, but I just thought that this website seemed like it had a great online community with an easy forum. I am a 22-year-old female, and I've been struggling with painful periods for as long as I can remember. I got my period late(around

Big Day for me. Big Rant too.
At last, I start my Bilogics today, got the nurse coming to show me how to inject my new medication, I've been put on Benepali, never heard of it, but hopefully it will work alongside the Methoraxate and Hydrochloride, (excuse my spelling please) Went to see the Rheumatologist last month, but it was

On the 14/12/16 I had a laparoscopy where I was diagnosed and treated from endometriosis, also had a coil put in while I was asleep. The recovery was amazing. After a few days I was back to myself and pain free, just bruising and swelling from surgery. This last week Iv got my old pain back, not as bad
