Wildly fluctuating high and low blood pressure
Recently my blood pressure has literally been all over the place. Last week I had bp readings of 192/111 whereas yesterday for much of the morning and afternoon it was 87/47. I am taking 250mg Diatazem each evening before bed and 10mg Rampiril each morning. Whenever my cardiologist asks me to wear

Can they tell the difference between bph/ chronic prostatitis / CPPS with a cystoscopy?
Background - for the past couple of years I was having problems with passing water, ed/ejaculation problems, pelvic and urethral pain, nerve pain reflected down into the legs and feet when sitting (seems to be brought on by sitting), loss of genital sensation. After a longwinded and tortuously slow process

Pregnancy symptoms and negative urine test
Has anybody gone thru this? I started with the nausea sore boobs and dizziness backache pain on day 9 after fresh embryo transfer and today I took a pregnancy test (home) and it’s negative I am still waiting for my blood work but is there any possible positive stories? I am so devastated

Urine vs blood for B vitamins - anyone understand why one could be high and one low?
I have had several blood tests for Vitamin B12 which has increased over the past 12-14 months via supplementation (igennus super B mainly). My latest medichecks result was: 31March active B12 204 pmol/L (25.1-165) I then had a Dutch test which involves both saliva and urine tests. As part of the urine

Active T3 test and 24 hour urine test.
Had a chat with somebody who knows about thyroid and asked what he thought about reverse T3 tests. The answer he gave me is that there is an "active T3" test, and the T3 is in a form that will enter the cells (it is believed I may have receptor blockage) and that is what some thyroid specialists use

Is there a Psma blood test?
I have had 2 psma scans over the past few years, along with an Axumin scan. None have identified any cancer yet my PSA is still increasing. I know that some percentage of prostate cancers do not express PSMA. Is there a test to find out if I have PSMA, perhaps a blood or urine test? I would like

For those who would like to go the non-med route for RLS
Taurine
is the supplement to take to supply gaba. Mucuna dopa is the supplement to take to supply the dopa. These are based upon the drugs that doctors often prescribe for RLS (which often have unwanted side effects.)

Q regarding cortisol levels - anyone else experience very low levels? Could it be Addison's disease? I know it's rare.
Hi everyone, I got these results from a recent 24hr cortisol urine test. I'm a little concerned and I mean, it matches how I feel, I feel horrendous. However, i've had this done by a functional medicine practice called DUTCH testing, but i'm concerned my GP/endocrinologist won't accept this as valid

Overactive bladder / impaction / something else?
My 3.5yr old (daytime toilet trained for over a year, uses nappy at night which are always wet) is having loads of daytime wetting accidents with small wet patches often appearing on her pants just 30mins or less after she's had a wee (which grow if we don't get her to the toilet fast). The more she

After several phone calls to my GP and Rheumatology department, I had a phone call from one of the registrars from the Rheumatology department this morning. Thanks to you all , I knew about the importance of making some notes before my appointment so that I could report my symptoms and ask further

Day 4
Meal yesterday same as the day before - prawns and half tin of kippers. Back on full tin today. Still full on keto by the urine test. Worked all day, then a 6 mile bike ride. According to all the conventional literature I should by now be crawling the walls, starving, deprived, doing myself damage etc

Waited 18 months, cancelled with 6 days to go.
I need a hug. I followed all the rules, isolating hard core, even over my 26th bday on Monday. I've waited 18 months and had it cancelled twice before. And now, at the final final hurdle... I've lost it again, and with no new date. Due to terrible communication at a women's private hospital, I was

Hello everyone, I am sooooooooooooooo so so happy as I have been given my operation date (11th June). I am still unsure if I have endo in both ovaries but I shall soon have a better idea of what is going on and if the issue has been resolved. I thought I would post to let others know (who may still

Emotional Rollercoaster
The ride began on the 6th May !! On putting Richard to bed using the Ross Return I instinctively knew he wasn’t right . I rang our Gp first thing in the morning , a paramedic came out and took urine from his catheter bag . I wasn’t happy about that but didn’t challenge him . Richard was started on Antibiotics

24 hr urine test
Hi, I am a 53 year old female. Just had a 24hr urine test that came up with some out of range results. Phosphate concentration came up low: result 9.8 mmol/L, normal range 11-44 mmol/L, but the total phosphate per day was normal at 22.5 mmol/day within the range of 11-45 mmol/day. Is the low concentration
