Re: Wakeing Up.
I've changed my medication around and now take my
Symbicort
before I get out of bed, wait as long as I can, then get out and head for the loo. Then about an hour later I take my Spiriva.

New to this
My lungs apparently are working at 43% which sound horrific to me I get so out of breath just walking I'm really struggling at work as well Have been put on a spiriva inhaler as well as
symbicort
but can't see what difference they are making. I feel so tired as well.

healthy lady can't figure why I am suffering!
I am currently on
symbicort
200, which is the best inhaler I have tried and tested in 6 months. I have also been on a course of steroids with singulair which kind of helps. Yet here I am again, suffering with lack of sleep and unable to construct a sentence without coughing.

SSRI antidepressants
I'm on a high dose of
symbicort
and so I'm worried about interactions. I don't want to tell my GP how to do her job (she's lovely!) but I am worried. Does anyone else take an ssri antidepressant as well as
Symbicort
? Thanks!

Omeprazole and Symbicort side effects
The other thing is that I find myself getting really shaky for about an hour after I take my
Symbicort
(2 puffs twice daily of 400/12) with shaky hands and a fast heartbeat. Is this normal? I've been on it for ages.

Help with thrush!
I'm also really really careful to wash my mouth out and clean my teeth after using the
symbicort
- I've been on it for 5 years without any problems to date.

Switching inhalers instead of adding things - wondering about options
I should have asked why he didn't think that was an option as he will have had one), and would switching around eg Seretide instead of
Symbicort
, or adding more inhaled steroid eg fluticasone as well as the budesonide in
Symbicort
) make any difference?

can anyone give me some advice on Symbicort turbohaler?
Hi all :) Yesterday I was prescribed a budesonide/ formoterol (200/6) turbohaler. I used it last night and this morning and both times I've noticed a gritty feeling in my throat afterwards. Am I doing something wrong? It goes away after a few seconds but I've never used a dry powder inhaler like this

Upping preventer - how long should it take to do something?
So I started in April on 2x2 daily of
Symbicort
400/12. Which was working fairly well, but I kept getting colds which threw off the control I'd got and going up to 3x2 - then every time I went back to 2 something happened (cold, big trigger etc).

Interesting article re NOT always keeping up with inhaled steroids if your asthma is mild
Always thought it took time to build up as well - I know I saw no positive effects from
Symbicort
for just over 3 weeks, so how would it work just taking when you get symptoms, if it needs time to build up? Slightly confused by some of this, but an interesting read anyway.

Are emphysema and COPD the same thing?
I have recently been diagnosed with COPD, although I havent been told at what stage I am at, I am on the steroid inhaler
Symbicort
and at the moment i struggle as soon as i start doing anything physical. I get very tired and really start gulping for air quite quickly.

Being referred to a Specialist...
Currently on
Symbicort
, Ventolin, Singulair and Slo-Phylin - as far as I am aware this is everything, bar oral steroids, they can prescribe. So... I am looking for some information about what will happen etc. and what more they can do? Thanks

I have been reading the posts mentioning
Symbicort
. I take Sprivia, Seretide and Ventolin. Does
Symbicort
replace Seritide ? Libby This post may come up twice I'm not sure that the first one went.
