Am currently weaning off sertraline but my GP
surgery
had taken it of repeat prescription. I had a almighty argument with the receptionist who seemed to think I had had enough time to be weaned off them. However I am still getting severe withdrawal symptoms and need more time to stop them.

Laparoscopy found nothing - symptoms all point to endometriosis
I had a laparoscopy on friday and despite not being confirmed by the gyno, nurses have said my
surgery
notes suggest everything is normal and they have found no endo which is great but frustrating because i have no idea what my pain is and I am worried now they haven’t found anything they will just leave

Depomedrone pre operation
Just a follow up to my recent post when I asked if anyone had any advice on whether I should have my Depomedrone injection scheduled for three days before Gallbladder
surgery
or wait until after.

Seeking support
Hello, I spent 4 weeks in ICU following mediastinitis/pleural and pericardial effusions/septic shock requiring thoractomy
surgery
. I had collapsed lung lobes therefore was supported by a ventilator. I have been home for 7 weeks now and am slowly recovering.

dad has advanced prostate cancer
She even spoke about
surgery
for his collar bone but I think that’s crazy! To put him through that and the bones are so brittle. I tell her he needs stronger meds for pain. I tell her maybe hospice but she doesn’t want to lose him going to his doctors and radiation.

potential OC?
In October I had
surgery
to remove 2 large cysts in both of my ovaries and endometriosis/ adhesions in my pelvis. The dr then wanted to put me on the contraceptive pill to stop the pain I was getting with my period from the endometriosis.

MRI for Endometriosis - MRI machine process
To lightened the mood I said 'unless someone left something inside me during my recent
surgery
...' They neither confirmed nor denied if it could of been this but guess if I do have a lost object something will show on the MRI images when I visit my consultant in a couple of weeks.

Dry eyes
( did have cataract removal
surgery
in June of 2023.) Since diagnosis of GCA in late July 2023 I have had very dry eyes. I am on Thealoz Duo drops (3% Trehalose, 0.15 Sodium Hyaluronate). Use this several times a day. But--eyes feel dry all the time.

I’ve decided to pay for private lap as I’ve been told my NHS lap will be 2 years time due to waiting times and with pain management
surgery
is my final straw.

Worried about withdrawing from DHC Continus
I have spoken to the
surgery
about the dangers of jus stopping this drug after so long, there is massive withdrawl symptoms. If I miss 1 tablet, I can literally drop like a stone within an hour or two. Happy to come off them, BUT, IMHO has to be controlled, not just sudden stop.

Thought it was a flare but......
Doctor px'd Amlodopine just over 1 month ago and as I left the
surgery
I remembered I'd had it before (many years ago) and suffered swollen ankles quite badly. He took me off and px'd an alternative.

Help please
I can't have district nurses help me because "your son can take you to the
surgery
". I am my son's carer and he has his own appointments to attend and is in a lot of pain himself. The nurses at the
surgery
see me once a week and usually use unsuitable dressings despite knowing about my allergies.

Lots of bad stuff happening, what to do?
I've also had arthroscopic
surgery
on my knee to shave a flipped meniscus and it's still painful and is not bending or straightening after round after round of physical therapy......a new MRI is this Saturday, so it's one more issue separate but adds to the stress.

Made a desicion, went private
I asked his receptionist did she know the cost of
surgery
if i needed it. She couldn't give me an exact price (which i thought was weird), nearer to £10.000 was her answer, i nearly died😳. Consultaion was £250 upront. The receptionist must have relayed my life story to him as i gave it to her 😂.

sensitive - surgery, infertility, mentions other people’s pregnancy
Since my
surgery
7 weeks ago my hormones have been very unstable, it almost feels as though I’m going through puberty again! I am hoping that this is a good thing and they are trying to regulate themselves but the way it’s making me feel is no fun at all.

Weight increase on Bisoprolol
I know if I can lose the weight My meds can be adjusted, and at the moment, I feel as though the weight is the problem but no-one at the
surgery
or hospital seem to be the slightest bit interested, just add an extra drug to counteract the side effects of others!! Any insight would be welcome!
