Reporting back from Dr after tongue necrosis
I have to fast for 4 hours prior, so the
steroids
will be eating my stomach alive. I find that I have to drink a lot of water and keep my stomach full to keep from having stomach pain from the
steroids
. Thank you for being there, I appreciate your knowledge and support. Jill

The possible beneficial effect for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy of two neuroactive steroids, progesterone and pregnenolone
I was researching pregnenolone on the internet and came across this article. It may be of interest to anyone struggling with neuropathy. Pregnenolone is formed from cholesterol and is the precursor substance for numerous important endogenous hormones. Among others, progesterone, cortisol, and aldosterone

ICU and osteoporosis
The consensus of the various specialists is that it has been precipitated by the massive volume of
steroids
given to keep me alive as my lungs failed, as well as the effects of being completely immobile for 3 months.

Change to Thyroid Tests after 40 years of the same dose of Throxine
I have argued the point that it is coincidental that my results have always been static and fine for over 40 years until I started taking
steroids
. I am currently in holiday so can’t go back to the Dr to query it . Do you think I should go back to 125?

Steroids and sleep.
On Sunday, after a day of low O2 sats , shakiness and increasing breathlessness I went to A&E. I was seen very quickly and it was decided I had the beginning of a chest infection. , despite none of the usual symptoms. I had already started my Prednisolone but was told to take the antibiotics as well

Tapering steroids
Hi, I was diagnosed with GCA in June by my GP due to headaches and very high blood test results. I was initially on 40mg prednisone then reduced to 30mg reduced again to 20mg. I have just reduced again to 17.5mg for one month. I have lots of back pain and generally feeling really unwell just wondering

Tapering advice please.
Back to arguing with surgery, no Drs available, and I can't speak to Pharamacist etc....In the end I pointed out that you can't just give someone
steroids
then abandon them. they got me an appointment with a different practice in the next town where I saw a lovely Doctor who agreed I should come of oral

Asthma a and e
I should add I had already had
steroids
and they weren’t doing the job as usual. This was my first course of
steroids
since I had covid in March. I literally now do not feel safe. My sats were ok when checked but my heart rate was 156 and blood pressure was 212/130.

Initial Obinutuzumab (flush?)Reaction leading to ER
The administering nurse had infused me with
steroids
and Benadryl, where after about 10-15 minutes I was finally able to talk and breath again. Immediately after which, I fell right to sleep.

I get this in my legs and back, I was also wondering if it indicates that an increase in
steroids
is in order.

wetheral pickleball
This has just started to occur, is this to do with
steroids
. I am on 10mg trying to reduce every fortnight. I have also become slightly breathless not to much but it is there. I go to my GP on Wednesday but would be interested in any comments. I also haven’t received a steroid card.

Doxazosin and what’s next
I have had 2 strokes, one while undergoing chemotherapy, (ovarian cancer, hysterectomy and chemo due to cyst burst) which had to be stopped after 2 sessions due to reactions from Pachtaxel, and Dexamethasone(
steroids
). Was recovering well when woke up with limited movement on right.

Joint pain and walking and rash
Could be
steroids
I know. Does this look vascular in nature please? I have horrendous feet joint bone muscular pain just about all over. Worst wakes me many times and going upstairs is getting very difficult. Strength is zero. Hips pelvis hurt so much and ribs so painful. No meds touching it.
