Rheumatologist at the hospital says I am going to have to go on
steroids
, but is that really necessary? Why can’t I stay on Naproxen? 1000 a day seems to sort everything out for me. Very best love Alicia Xxxxx

Surprised!!!
As with most of us you try to explain it away.....is it this....oh it's the
steroids
. I then realised ....I'd had a real temper tantrum and stood and did my son's and his children's ironing as it had been sitting there for 10 days....it took me hrs.

Help Please
I never had any problems until I was on
steroids
for such a long time. I put on over 2 stone last year in the space of 2-3 months due to high-dose
steroids
. I am at a complete and utter lost.

I wrongly assumed that this would be resolved by taking
steroids
? I woke in the night worrying about it. Esp as it’s in my ‘good eye’. I should have asked more questions!

Hello, I have had Behcet's for the past 18 years and usually respond to

scan for GCA
hello, Dr Muktyar did my scan to day & said no signs of GCA return, so stop the
steroids
. When I asked about CRP raised slightly & ESR gone from 19-38 he said those readings he doesn’t bother with, as any little thing going on can raise them.

Rescue pack of prednisolone- when to start using them
Having never had a rescue pack of
steroids
before, I am not sure whether I should start taking them now. I know I should probably take a sputum sample into my GP tomorrow (Monday morning) to see if I need antibiotics but in other people's options, should I start taking the
steroids
today?

Adrenaline
I must make an early morning appointment having taken no
steroids
for 24 hours. Should I accept this with open arms? Will this give me a view of my Adrenalin levels. Thank - you in advance for any advice.

Pity Post
I asked why not give he
steroids
so that I can move more Sge said because if we gave you
steroids
and you have a UTI you could end up ill and in hospital. Good I said then someone might actual x Ray or scan my leg. She said you wouldn’t say that if you were in ICU.

Cyclosporine
The dr said the drops hurt for a few minutes with each use but the
steroids
will taper the discomfort. Has anyone had any experience with cyclosporine?

On 60 mgs, potassium low, magnesium low, cramps, dizzy, fatigue ,the runs etc...
Due to reduce to 40mgs tomorrow but really feeling very strange, balance off, BP low for me, I'm on 2 x meds for BP which are contraindicated with
steroids
as should increase BP?? The symptoms are consistent with low potassium levels (call from hospital to tell me that) but worsening.

new treatment
My neurologist has let me know that I have an “aggressive and advanced” MS based on my age (28) and time since diagnosis. (7 months)
Steroids
were the only treatment to make a difference for me although short term. Next for me is a try with a methylprednisolone 5day infusion.

Is this the end or …?
I’ve been reducing
steroids
for many months and am now taking one mg every fifth day. I feel ok. I also had a molar extracted a week ago and despite my fears it went very smoothly mostly thanks to a wonderful young dental surgeon.
