Shoulder pain.
I've tapered off my
steroids
now completely and am on Roactemra. Recently blooda showed low neutrophils so now take Roactemra fortnightly. Recently have had a very painful shoulder GP thinks rotor cuff. Wondering is it related in anyway to GCA or side effect of mens. Anyone anything similar š«

Is it the PMR or the
steroids
? I have previously had a blue inhaler and wondering if itās worth asking my GP for another. What are otherās experiences please?

91% of lupus patients report using steroids to manage symptoms
āWe know that
steroids
can reduce inflammation and help people with lupus to manage the disease, but we also know that
steroids
cause a range of side effects and can lead to other serious health problems,ā Manzi said.

Psoriasis and contact allergy
I am approaching one year since I stopped
steroids
, and thankfully, I have no reason to think that my PMR is not still in remission.

extended remission
It took nearly a year to reduce inflammation because I did not respond well to
steroids
. I am also allergic to Naproxen. I let my body do the correcting with the help of Zeljanz and Rinvoq. There is always pain but blood levels have been stable for years. Is this typical?

GCA- Methotrexate
The last four weeks Iāve been prescribed Methotrexate also, the intention is to gradually reduce the
steroids
. Since Iāve been taking the Methotrexate my leg and arm muscles feel weak, is this a common side affect of the drug. Has anyone else suffered with this.

She was adamant I should not reduce
steroids
as they would help with the pain. She has sent a long letter to my gp about her thoughts! so am a bit confused. She has given me exercises for back / haunch pain.. which I am doing. But I think
steroids
have never helped with those!

Prefer pain to steroids!
I chose not to take meds for the osteoporosis and I really donāt want to take
steroids
as my osteoporosis will almost certainly get worse and my blood pressure is already too high. Has anyone else chosen to put up with the pain rather than take the
steroids
.?

anyone living with a single figure count without treatment?
Hi everyone Iāve had ITP for 12 years and it has been controlled well by short courses of
steroids
which were giving me one to two years of remission. Recently following a bout of Covid, the
steroids
have not been working as well and I was persuaded to try Avatrombopag.

If
steroids
are bad for treating flare-ups, what about the
steroids
used in ocrevus? I've had 9 ocrevus infusions...what do I use for a relapse or flare-up? My neuro is not on the steroid bandwagon to stop a relapse because of the damage to bones.. this is a lose-lose situation.
