hello guys I'm new to this group I have had COPD for several years and used different types of inhaler including
Spiriva
,Seretide 100 and salbutamol. I don't know if any of them actually work cause I don't feel any different after using them.

I currently am taking
Spiriva
Respimat and Symbicort, with Ventolin as my rescue inhaler, and I am finding that I'm using the Ventolin more than I used to.

Dementia Risk & Commen Inhaler
Two commonly used anticholinergics in patients with COPD include ipratropium bromide (Atrovent) and tiotropium bromide (
Spiriva
). Shocking part of story IS doctors know anticholinergics cause dementia and have done for years.

Tightness.
I am wondering if this awful discomfort is due to
spiriva
i am taking. My chest and stomach feels like theres a tight belt round it. I’ve not slept a wink all night every time i think i’m dozing off i wake suddenly not breathing properly and like im going to suffocate.

Spiriva
Hi, Can anyone tell me what side effects
spiriva
would cause. I have read the leaflet but would rather hear if anyone gets side effects. I wont go on about my symptoms because i dont want to appear to be moaning, i know theres so many people far worse off than me.

Disturbed night
I’ve been taking
spiriva
for about a month but dont seem any better, and its difficult to stay calm so then my pulse races. I used my ventolin inhaler every hour which only helped a little. I thought being on
spiriva
would have helped now.

Finally Managed to see the GP
He can't see why the ventolin isn't helping with breathlessness, so prescribed me another, but changed my steroid inhaler to
Spiriva
. No referral to respiratory nurse, he says its too early for that, normally refers when more serious and not Mild as mine is.

New diagnosis 😢
Put on just
Spiriva
Inhaler once a day and she said will do another test in a year. Am 51 and smoked for 30 years and gave up 4 years ago but have been using vaping as a constant since. Dr said to give them up or would be on oxygen in 10 years!!!! So stopped immediately.

Second Spirometry Test
I had my repeat spirometry test today after 6 weeks of taking
Spiriva
& fosair. My Fev1 is now 103% (was 93%) my fvc is 134% (was 128%) fev1/fvc now 66% was (62%. The nurse says this still means there is a mild obstruction. I am.just trying to get it straight in my mind.
