Advice needed please
The clenil 50 and ventolin werent helping his asthma at all so after seeing the asthma nurse he was given montelukast (
singulair
) to take as well. Again there was no real improvement and he was given the Serevent (Salmeterol) of which he was to take 2 puffs twice a day.

Been put on
Singulair
, along with my Seretide. I've read the
Singulair
posts on here and will let you know whether any nasty side effects come along. Interesting the posts about bad dreams, as that's what I've woken up from, for the last week. Maybe they will disappear for me?

Emotional!
This change in emotion - I haven't always been like this - has coincided with starting the
singulair
and upping my dosage of seretide. Is this a known side effect or just me?! Thanks, Emz x

Asthma and Blue Veins
Thanks to all those who replied to my last post regarding
Singulair
. I had to stop taking it, it made me feel terrible, tearful and muscle aches returned. I am now back to just having blue reliever (Bricanyl) inhaler again.

Laryngitis!!
My GP has put me back on to
Singulair
Hurray!!! And shes referred me for my CT scan. Just need to wait for an appointment. She wouldn't put anti's & steroids onto a emergency prescription as Bronchialectisis has to be ruled out first. I've breathed in some steam tonight which has helped loads.

frequency of having predisnole 30mg?
and added
singulair
back on at a stronger 10mg. She also gave me another course of preds which i totally understand her logic and will start as i think the sinusits coming back means im not breathing properly and through my mouth which is aggravating my asthma.

Is this a symptom?
I've seen the asthma nurse so much lately (we had a trial of
singulair
) and she really wanted me to lower the symbicort though in the end we both agreed i mustn't - i just don't want to bother her if this isn't related.

Never once did I think of the
singulair
! By chance I stubbled upon this as a side effect by many people so went to the drs and we decided that since he has been well for several months we would try without the
singulair
and see what happens.

Pred and Chickenpox
PS - All the other meds I'm on are
Singulair
10mg, Cetrizine 10mg, Symbicort 100/6 two puffs twice daily, Ventolin and Atrovent. I've also already had chickenpox if that helps!
