New test results
Any comments would be very much appreciated! Had my thyroxine increased from 100 to 125 and have been taking the 125 for 3 months. I go back to the endo next week. I feel much better than I did but I still don’t feel 100%. They would only test TSH and FT4 this time. TSH 0.01 (0.2-4.5) this was 4.2

Nefopam side effects
Hi, I’m new here and would like your opinions on Nefopam please, I started on it 2 weeks ago for my fibromyalgia and was just taking 2 a day, tried to up it to 3 a day and suffered horrific dizziness and nausea which is a shame as I feel it was beginning to help with the pain. So I stopped and hoped

Menopause or thyroid related?
I thought mine were thyroid related as on higher doses of thyroid meds I think I’ve solved the
sleep
and t3 solved the head. However I
simply
can’t tolerate the dose I need to take to clear both. I start having hyper symptoms.

B1 and Carbilev
I want to report first hat I have reduced my dose of B1 from 2.1g a day to 1,2 and I really feel that it is working now. It is early days but my tremor seems mildly better. I am not struggling to get food into my mouth, and I feel hopeful and energetic. No depression. When I was diagnosed in January

Overthinking thinking and thinking 🤔
Today I’m trying my hardest whilst out at work to push these negative thoughts from my mind. What’s triggered it is a couple of months back on the odd night I’d wake like I’m was trying to catch my breath. Can’t recall any nightmare before it, do went to GP who has referred me to sleep clinic and that

My ACTH Stimulation test is to have 3 blood draws
After waiting for several months I was finally able to see a specialist (where I live a GP cannot order this test). I’m wondering if any of you have had this test that will have 3 blood draws? At first she said they only do this test if you are off prednisone. I wasn’t shocked to hear this as someone

Great day at Kaiser
Today was special at the Kaiser Hospital. I had an appointment with my neurologist at 10:30, I arrived too early because my calendar said 10:00, but I got a rock star parking spot. I sat in the waiting room and did my puzzles expecting a long wait. (My doctor will spend as much time as you need) Today

A Neurologist is Asking YOUR Help to do a Study On a DRUG that Extends the QUALITY Of LIFE and CAN Restore LOST FUNCTIONS to Those With PSP
What I’m going to detail is no joke. There is a Neurologist, a Dr. Johan Samanta, who is willing to go beyond what any other doctor has offered or suggested in order to force other doctors all over the world to prescribe the drug Tasigna. This is a drug that has shown it can restore lost abilities, depending

So I’m white English and my partner is mixed race Jamaican / German. He has trait with crisis. They say if one parent has it then the chance is slim to nothing for a child to have it. His mum had nothing while his dad has trait. Tomorrow I am having a C-section as our baby is breech. I fear our child

Early onset Altzeimer's testing
Hi - can I ask my GP for a APOE test if I am concerned about my memory, or does it have to run in the family before they will test? Are there any specific tests I could ask for? I have just turned 60, and have to think carefully now about what to do with everyday things - pour milk in a cup etc, it

Surely I should be getting some of the twin pregnancy vibes?!
Such mixed emotions this morning. I’m due to take my trigger shot today, ready for egg collection on Monday. I got a phone call from my twin brother to say that he and his wife are expecting. They have no idea we’re going through ivf. I’m obviously thrilled for them but the timing of them telling me

Aria our best fan!!
Hello BLF friends 🍂🍁 Autumn is coming with pretty colours. I’ll take some pictures of the mountains when I can. Not in Milan where Bea has temperatures of 30 and Aria is saying to Liverpool how dare you score in extra time! Just how I feel 😉 Anyway still having respiratory physio every other day

Hello
I am 64 years old and was diagnosed over 10 years ago. I have been going to the gym 2 days a week (with a personal trainer) for about 9 of those 10 years. I have been fortunate in that I do not suffer with too many symptoms of PD and have not had to give up much. I am happily married, have 3 adult children

Sharing an uplifting song by Muse for those days when Lupus just needs it’s ass kicking quite frankly :) Anyone got any other suggestions?
Hi everyone, Just thought I’d try and share this track by Muse called ‘Dig Down’. I just think the words (and video) are just what’s needed on those mornings when I have to drag my aching body into work due to Lupus! Does anyone have any other uplifting, powerful tracks that help get them going? I’d
