New to all this
Three weeks later I went back to my doctor who realised the becotide was making me worse and he gave me
seretide
and told me to stay home from work for the rest of the week as I was running a bit of a temp. That was two weeks ago.

High dosages
After my latest asthma clinic visit, the ""new"" nurse expressed a bit of surprise (in a lovely lilting Irish brogue I might add) at my dosage -
Seretide
250,2 inhalations twice a day-Ive been on this for about 15 months now and she has dropped this dosage to
Seretide
125 despite the reason for my visit

Not responding to Meds
My normal medication is
Seretide
250 which I'm meant to take twice a day, 2 puffs each time (doesn't do a lot to be honest). I recently also got put onto Singulair (10mg I think, once a day) to try and help with allergies.

125 to being on
seretide
500 and montelukast over the last year, with only a small improvement in symptoms) I am avoiding all the definite triggers (smoke, pollen as much as possible etc) and trying

Diabetes
Plus I've read that
Seretide
can increase blood pressure and diabetes risk. I'm on
seretide
250, my dad developed insulin dependent diabetes in his mid-60s so should I mention this at my next asthma review?

Seretide
Just wondered if anybody out there seems to be getting more colds/chest infections since starting on
Seretide
cos I'm sure I didn't used to get this many when not on it.

Silly me?
I was ok (just about) with taking ventolin and then
seretide
, but as my
seretide
dosage is constantly being upped, and now being on montelukast, i just don't like the idea of these chemicals stopping what seems to be a natural reaction for my body.Does anyone else feel like this?

new symbicort inhaler
Hi I've just been changed from
seretide
to the new symbicort inhaler. The asthma nurse said that when my asthma was playing up i can have up to 12 puffs in a day to relieve my symptoms. Does this mean i cant take salbutamol if i need it?

Peak Flow Chart
On
Seretide
250, two puffs, twice daily. I got bored filling in my Peak Flow chart and even more bored of blowing into the meter, a good few months back. My peak flow is 290 - 310, maybe 220 - 350 once or twice.

Stronger reliever?
Im currently taking Salbutamol as required and
Seretide
125, although I have recently just finished a course of prednisolone and
Seretide
250 after I ended up in A & E with a fairly bad attack and needed a couple of nebs.
