Why my heart races when I use my inhaler (salbutamol)?
The inhaler improves my breathing but sometimes I feel like it might be damaging my heart. I always ask myself why the medication to open my air ways affects my heart?!

Mucus from one lung
I was already on symbicort and
salbutamol
beforehand which worked pretty well. Had 2 clear ct scans so not bronch, which is a relief. I go through phases of taking more meds but it just doesn't seem to go, and sometimes is pretty bad, coughing up lots of blobs.

How should I inhale my Salbutamol? Does how I inhale it make a difference?
I visited my surgery last week and saw one of the nurses - the appointment was to have a spirometry test. Because of a course of antibiotics I had had I was told that I would have to wait 4-6 weeks after the end of the course of antibiotics before having the test. Anyway, she chatted to me and

Alternative reliever inhaler to Ventolin (Salbutamol)
What alternative inhalers - reliever type - are there instead of Ventolin? I've found that Ventolin gives me discomfort in the chest (indigestion type pain). My nurse suggested Spiriva and my GP changed my prescription. I was told to use Spiriva once a day and Ventolin as a reliever if necessary

Has anyone had chest discomfort with Ventolin (Salbutamol)
I've had chest discomfort (indigestion type discomfort) when using Ventolin, the metered dose Evohaler type. I saw the nurse today and she said I could be changed onto something else but suggests I try the dry powder Ventolin Accuhaler first to see if I get the same discomfort with that, probably trying

Have no idea what set me off!
I used my
salbutamol
twice, sat down for a bit and then when things calmed down a bit I carried on. The same thing happened again, just walking around my room (which is a tiny box) really seemed to get to me.

Confused about different strengths of Asthma Medications?!!
blue reliever inhaler for when necessary, which has usually been when its cold, when I'm ill or during hayfever times - most of the year then :-/ Anyway since September I have had constant chest infections, which have brought on really bad asthma attacks, which have seen me hospitalised on Oxygen,

Is this an embarrassing side effect of Spiriva?
Today is the 13th day since starting Spiriva, which seems to suit me better than Ventolin (
salbutamol
), but I do seem to be having a problem with flatulence since a few days after starting it.

US Healthcare, I have Bronchiectasis, MAI, and Liver Disease
In the midst of our great country so many have no medical care. I am afraid to say that I have become one of them. I am saddened by the delay of helping me to get treatment. As some of you know I was diagnosed in Aug 2012. Took me until Dec. 2012 to see a Dr for my Bronchiectasis. It literally took

Smoking - COPD
I'm pleased to say I have not smoked since I take seretide an
salbutamol
and can do most things. If you smoke It's true your condition will deteriorate - so don't be in denial and give up if you want to live longer.

Symbicort
I have been prescribed Symbicort to replace my Seretide, Qvar and
Salbutamol
. However, I have just read the information leaflet and it mentions that the powder does not have a taste I was just wondering if anyone else is on this inhaler. How do I know if I have taken my dose or not?

What exercise do you do? Does anyone use a Wii?
At the moment I manage on just Spiriva and I have a Ventolin (
salbutamol
) inhaler but I'm trying not to use it as I seem to get discomfort in my chest with it and want to discuss with the nurse if there is an alternative.

I know i get more
salbutamol
in from a neb than from 10 puffs of my inhaler (i dont care how many times im told theyre the same, i just do feel the difference, and when im well you can see the difference in how shakey and tachy i get compared to inhalers!)
