Should I follow up to confirm diagnosis? If I should, how or what should I do next?
Hi everyone, Great to find lots of useful info in here. But still, I have a few questions and would like to hear some advices. Backgrounds: 30 year-old female; Known drug/antibiotics allergy in childhood (face swollen and hives whole body); Moved into a new house 1-2 years ago. Myself have/family history

Antacid for excessive mucus/saliva/sputum
Hi all, I keep seeing the excessive mucus /saliva / sputum causing choking symptom on this site. I hope what worked for my dad might work for someone else. My dad had this problem a couple of years ago and the doctor had x-rays taken a couple of times thinking it might be pneumonia which it wasn't. I

Lone emphysema
I would like to know if there is anyone out there with primarily Emphysema, maybe diagnosed on CT scan, though you had "normal" spiro, or at least mild obstruction, despite how you felt. Whether you smoked or not, your age, and symptoms at the time. DLCO levels. Maybe you tested positive for Alpha 1

Need thoughts, advice from people with COPD. Long post, but bear with me
All, In Jan this year, I had acute onset of dyspnea, chest heavyness, audible wheezing, like a whistling when I exhaled. I was smoking at the time, been smoking off and on since I was a teen, I am 43 now. I have had some long periods when I didn't smoke. This last time was for about 4 months, pack every

Asthma attacks/fighting the caregiver
Hi all, I'm new here. My dad is 91 and was diagnosed with Parkinsonism maybe 7 years ago. His latest neurologist says his Parkinsonism may be PSP. He can no longer walk, even assisted on both sides because his legs are permanently contracted in a crossed position. His other worst symptoms are asthma

Nebs of
Salbutamol
an Ipatroprium, not really helping. Going to increase prednisone to 5 day 30mg and regular monitoring of peak flow. Could be flare up of bronchiectasis even the psudeomonas.

Life long asthma and bronchiectasis
I am currently taking Uniphyllin, 20 mg prednisolne, forstair, spiriiva and
salbutamol
inhalers . I'm feeling a bit down at the moment as I have just had a CT scan which shows that I also have significant bronchiectasis. This is the result of whooping cough as a child and pneumonia.

Progression or What?
No anaemia, take D3, nebulised ipratropium and
salbutamol
4 times daily and other meds. Not much appetite but try to eat as well as poss and continue exercises (getting a bit difficult). I'm at a loss and so I think are the doctors at the practice.

Asthma and working
Hi, i've had asthma for around 7yrs, a little bit about myself: I contracted it when I had a really bad flu, I'm on seretide and
salbutamol
, its very rare I use the
salbutamol
, and rarely get the swollen throat any more, but it does effect my chest if I don't take precautions like when I'm round pollen

Drug trial - visit 12
She reviewed my medications and suggested I do the nebulised
salbutamol
first followed by my flutter and then all my other inhalers and then the trial drug. This made sense as the
salbutamol
loosens the mucus and then the flutter should loosen more so I should be able to clear my chest better.

Wanting to come off Seretide
I have
Salbutamol
but never use it.nnFor years I have worked with the Doctors trialing different medication, or searching other possibility to my sleep issue. I go back to sleep fine after waking, I just have some slight disturbance when I often get up and pop to the toilet.
