Need a Opinion
I am suffering from Diabetic condition for last eight years. I was reasonably controlling the situation with Metformin 1000 mg 1 tab and Diamicron MR 60 mg 2 tabs / day until last year. Currently my HBA1C is not within the required range, it is increasing from around 7 to around 8.4 ( last year) Otherwise

Well another reason for the weight loss...
My husband has PKD and is in
renal
failure
. Turns out, you can now donate no matter if your a match, as you are able to basically swap/pool organs with other people in need. I desperately want to help my husband in whatever means possible. Need lots of motivation!!

Pulmonary fibrosis. Don't know what type, diagnosed in 2015 by CT scan. Oxygen at night only. A CT scan in 2016 showed stable.
2 weeks later went to GP with fatigue, SOB No cough at all. GP put me on 3ltrs oxygen 24/7. Oxygen drops on exertion-between 95 and 98 on rest. I don't know what to do. I have no treatment plan. Is this what I can expect for the rest of my life? Oxygen drops to 80 while walking around. My GP said it

Thought the Royal Brompton was a Brilliant Hospital but Now Badly Let Down!
Having been mismanaged for years by my local hospital in Kent which results in undiagnosed severe heart failure and severe cardiomyopathy I was sent to the Royal Brompton Hospital in London last year. In patient treatment good but the last year as an outpatient, hell on earth! I have not had one follow

Pollutant Exposure May Raise the Risk for CV Hospitalization
I saw this in Medscape. It seems that if we don't eat, breathe or drink, we may be able to avoid AF. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/858918?src=wnl_edit_tpal&uac=232755DZ BOSTON, MA ― Exposure to particulate matter with a diameter less than 10 µm (PM10) may increase CV-related hospitalizations

Left sided heart failure and Vasculitis. Anyone else been diagnosed with this ?
I was diagnosed with WG over 17 years ago with Saddle nose deformity and I have chronic kidney failure too. I have been receiving Rituximab every 6 months for the last few years and have been lucky not to have had steroids for approx the last 10 years. I'm 55 years old. Since my last infusion in October

Prednisilone and Heart Failure
Hi All, CSS/EGPA almost 8 years and it seriously affected my heart amongst other things. Does anyone have heart involvement with their CSS/EGPA and take steroids (Pred)? I have just been told by my heart failure nurse that she has found details on the American Arthritis Society's website states that

Restrictive lung disease and copd.
Hello, I'm new here or to any online group. I've been fighting restrictive lung disease and copd along with asthma since 2004. Along the way I developed congested heart failure. I've had good years and bad months. Although I've been hospitalized twice in the last 4 months. I'm 45 and not ready to give

Post ablation holiday
Hi Everyone It is now 6 weeks since my ablation for Atrial Flutter. I am still taking 20mg Rivaroxoban and 2.5 mg Bisoprolol and feel fine. Having been nowhere last year, I decided I needed a holiday so have booked a cruise (3 days in Barcelona and 7 days round the Med.) leaving on Feb. 29th. I don't

20 years old with AF and weak heart
Wondering if anyone has been where I am now, I had one singular case of A-Fib when I was 18 years old, went back to the doctor 5 months ago because of skipped beats and SVT's. I ended up getting an echo which showed my ejection fraction was at 52% which my doctor said was equivalent to a 60 year old.
