Hyaluronic acid treatment for damaged bladder
She never gave me a diagnosis but looking at my past history it is probably caused by the
radiotherapy
.it's like half of it is healthy the other half is red raw and ulcerated , still have blood in urine picked up by a urine test.

Prostate cancer what to do.
I go through the VA system for health care, was diagnosed with PC in April only option at the VA I go to was RP. Ask about radiation treatment urologist really didn't even want to talk about or consider that as an option. I was giving a risk factor of favorable intermediate risk of a 14 core sample all

Current Consensus on Metformin and Berberine?
Definitely appears to have a radiosensitizing effect during
radiotherapy
. Has anyone only used Metformin during RT to avoid ADT side effects or is the benefit of taking both together higher enough to really want to do both during RT?

Does My Husband Have Chemo Brain?
He is supposed to start
radiotherapy
on 9th May. Is his confusion normal and will it go away? He was a bright, funny, articulate man until a couple of weeks ago, it is now like he has dementia!

What genetic / genomic information does a BMB give that bloods don’t?
Monitoring and surgery plus
radiotherapy
deals with them. I’m also needing more frequent transfusions to maintain any kind of decent QoL. The haematologist I see whom I thought was prepared to try Fedratinib for me has changed his mind.

Brain mets; what next? Is it hopeless?
I am to have a single course of
radiotherapy
to the brain (five days) after which there is no treatment. Needs to be arranged... possibly not for a few weeks. Later, perhaps some drug which is better at passing into the brain than herceptin/perjeta. Anyway the outlook is not good.

Update on "How credible is my report"
Finally got an explanation as to why my DCFPyl PET scan was reported as radical prostatectomy and not a prior RT . My GP called the radiology lab (in my presence) and got another Radiologist to review the scans. He confirmed the 4 'uptakes' and said he could understand the initial radiologist interpretation

People of HU: Awaiting Open Heart Surgery
I learned I have a mild aortic stenosis, and this had probably been caused by
radiotherapy
for breast cancer on my left side. I was also suffering with central aortic regurgitation, which the doctor considered to be severe. To say I was stunned is an understatement.

So Tired
Finished 20sessions of
Radiotherapy
on 1st December, I was told that this causes tiredness, but it's still going on. I generally fall asleep after lunch for about 60 minutes! Is this normal & how long does it last?

Testosterone “Flare” (Or Testosterone?) Timing to Optimize Salvage Radiation Therapy
I have referred to the following article a few times in response to some posts about the use and timing of ADT when used in addition (adjuvant) to improve outcomes from salvage radiation therapy for BCR for failure after primary prostate treatment (surgical or radiation or other). Also for recurrences
