HEART in the THROAT sensation is bothersome, I find taking Lorazepam 1mg 3X a day calms me down and makes it much less noticeable.
I guess the throat sensations are Ectopic Beats/
PVC
. As a caregiver to my adult son who has a brain injury, OCD and Epilepsy, I have anxiety for his future when I'm gone. This doesn't help my AFIB. That is why I'm on this Lorazepam. I stay away from sugars, coffee, and all stimulants.

Puzzled (as always)
I don't post much, and when I do it seems I'm always complaining. Sorry. Anyway, I had a PFT as pulmo office in August. I was not feeling too well. Mainly SOB. She tells me my FEV1 is 75 percent and she can't understand why I feel poorly. So recently see my GP, who seems much more interested in my health

Currently under investigation for asthma
Hi guys, I'm just looking for advice. 18 month ago I had a bad chest infection for about 3 month, over Xmas. I got over it in the January 2019 but since then was left with a lingering wheeze on slightly forced excitation. Several trips to the GP over the same year, I keep getting told there's nothing

Back in A&E last night!
Hey guys, Well since May 2018 I have been doing reasonably well in that I’ve not had to attend a hospital Emergency room for any cardiac related matters. But that changed yesterday. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing changes in my heart behaviour. From PVC’s to SVT and extended bouts

What I didn't know
Just had another PFT. Stupid me always thought FEV1 was THE important number. The nurse that administered the test said my FEV1 was 79 percent. I believe that's a good number with someone who has been diagnosed with emphysema. But my diffusion number was not so good: 66 percent, and down quite a bit

Hey guys, so I'm 27 years old and 4 years post op for bicuspid aortic valve disease. A year ago I was running 6 miles a day healthy as can be, when suddenly I started to get PVCs. The less than sweet cavity
Saw respiratory consultant today, for results of ct scan etc. Apparently I have an upper lobe cavity in the left lung. This has increased since last scan a year ago. Hi all, new guy here. This is a more comprehensive version of my story in my bio, but I give you a brief version. First up, yes I was a smoker for probably over 20 years, 6 months ago I was able to kick them by vaping instead. 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed as having Severe Emphysema after having a

Update.
I had my Oncology appointment yesterday. I had very mixed news. The treated tumour has shrunk a tiny bit more since the last scan, it is now down to 10 mm which of course I am very pleased about. The "rub" is that normally I always try to get to appointments around half an hour early. This time I only

Oh, what a mystery is our affliction
Hello. I have not posted in some time. Was DX about 3 years ago with emphysema/asthma. It has not been fun, as I'm sure all of you can agree. But things have gotten much worse for me since Christmas, to the point where I can no longer sleep at all because of SOB. Went to pulmo yesterday. I was sure I

Spirometry results
Hello. I had a spirometry done a few weeks ago and they results have come back as FEV1 of 3.44(119%), FVC of 4.02(122%) and FEV1/FVC of 84.3. I was on steroids at the time so expect the results were pretty good. I’ve since had another once when I’ve been off steroids but they haven’t given me the results

Continuous PVCS
Ahhhh! These pvcs are driving me insane. I've had them very frequently now for 3 years. The last year has been hell. Went to the doctor many times, had a few EKGS, echocardiogram, and many bloodwork orders. I have high bp, and on 1 med for that. I'm sure its anxiety related as well as I'm about 30lbs

Imbruvica and rapid heart beat
Hi folks. I'm still on imbruvica but they put me on a does of 280 mg after the rapid heart beats daily to 150 bpm. It was NEWS to them that my verapamil increased the effects of the imbruvica -- I learned that from the interactions checker. Looks like no one checked before they disposed! I am still getting
