Trying to cope after HA
Hi all - new here Had a HA last week (at a young age of 37!) here with 2 stents and a balloon angioplasty on my LAD. Apparently due to my age and lack of apparent risk factors, ,my case was pretty unusual and discussed within the cardio team. Having never been in hospital as an adult (nor even blue-lighted

Covid the cause of asthma
Covid the cause of asthma? Has any been diagnosed with Asthma since having covid? I contracted covid just over a year ago and was quit poorly (not bad enough for hospital) and since then I have been struggling with Asthma symptoms. I stupidly tried to ignore it until winter and the cold weather hit

Fatigue from Spiriva?
Has anyone experience severe fatigue from their inhalers? I'm currently on fostair 100/6 and spiriva, and since starting spiriva a month ago, have just been getting more and more fatigued. Not sure if it's the spiriva that's causing it or something else, but just wanted to see if anyone else has had

Post Covid
Morning all, I am a 63 year old woman who developed Asthma when I turned 50 years old. I always have an awful cough, which people used to feel they could comment on and Pat me on the back. Since Covid I just get stares from people instead which now makes me feel very uncomfortable to go out in the

Questionable ingredients in spiriva respimat?
My doctor has let me try both the handihaler and the respimat for a month each and asked me to decide which works better for me. I feel like the respimat works better (maybe because its a soft mist?), but I am concerned about a couple of the non-medicinal ingredients. Has anyone heard whether the benzalkonium

Trimbow
I was on fostair 200/6 and spiriva for severe asthma but today they changed my inhalers to trimbow and I was wondering if that was a step back because I read that it is a lower steroid and my chest has been dodgy for the last few weeks

Desperate mama
My almost 5 year old son started with coughing symptoms at night around the age of 2, he sleeps soundly until about 12AM-2AM and then wakes up with forceful persistent coughs, mostly when a cold is circulating in the house. He was on so much prednisone and eventually we started a preventative inhaler

Inhaler change
I have just been sent a message by my GP to say they are changing my inhaler from ventolin to Salamol. Is there a reason for this and is Salamon just as good as Ventolin 🤷♂️

Teeth cleaning
Just read an interesting article which I thought I’d share. I have always cleaned my teeth immediately after I have taken my inhaler. Apparently, according to this, this is the wrong thing to do as it can effect the enamel on your teeth. Anyway, here it is:- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/

Help for a 3 and a half year old!
My 3 and half year old has been suffering with a cough ALL year. Shes had numerous flare ups and everytime we have been to the doctor they say its her asthma. She was given a steroid inhaler, blue inhaler and montelukast but this cough has never returned back to normal (sounds like a bark, chesty cough

Back Pain at Night
After sleeping for 4 hours, I wake up with backache (muscle, I guess). The pain is not always in one spot. The location of the pain shifts in the back. It is not directly on the spine. The pain location changes while rubbing anywhere from the back of the neck to lower back. Rubbing/massage helps to

Autologous stem cell COPD therapy
Hi, I underwent an excision of my left lung due to cancer in 2017, I am 70 years old and from the day of the operation I decided not to use medicines but to rely only on rehabilitation, good nutrition, and lots of exercise. The only help I have are sprays of saline with eucalyptus drops 3 times a day

Any views on Trelogy Inhaler
Good morning I have seen some really good reviews on the inhaler Trimbow today but am reluctant to try it as whenever I have tried an inhaler with formoterol n it I have had problems. I would like to try Trelogy does anyone have any information on it and do you need to be at a certain stage in COPD

Salamol doses how many hours minimum ?
My son is 4 and a half. Since March this year he has had 3-4 wheezy episodes that required AE attendence. He was all times given a reliever inhaler. He has not been diagnosed with asthma yet, but seems so much the case to me. He had eczema as a baby and many allergies. He grew out of the eczema and most
