Small dose of levothyroxine - good or bad?
I had thyroiditis many years ago. Since then, my dose of levothyroxine (and for a while NDT) has varied. However, it has never been a high dose (I don't have any record of it going over 100mcg/day), it has been as low as 25mcg/day, but settled at just 37.5mcg/day (driven by me, based on combination of

RSV and recovery
Hi everyone, I was only diagnosed with asthma 2 years ago after years of brutal chest infections. It has always been relatively well controlled with flare ups only when I have a chest infection, which were always resolved with my blue inhaler. Last Monday I started having asthma attack symptoms so

Chronic cough?
HelloI have a simple but complex question. I have had MS for 20 years. I am on ocrevus, which I like but the last 2 infusions i get a nasty cough. I feel fine. No cold no flu no covid. Just a cough. Rarely is it productive. I have been to lung specialist and I fail some breathing tests, but

4 months post TT
hi everyone! I am writing because I wanted to see if anybody had similar experiences. I am four months post total thyroidectomy, and in the first month or so I didn’t really feel many or any symptoms. Now in the past two months, I feel like I am feeling more symptoms of hypothyroidism than I did, in

Trimbow / Fostair
Can anyone confirm my understanding please? I can't take fostair, it gave me awful palpitations, tremors and excess mucus to the point I felt like I was drowning when I lay down so it was quickly stopped. I saw a respiratory consultant recently and as most other inhalers have already been tried he suggested

spacer with mask vs spacer with mouthpiece
Hi all, I have recently been prescribed a spacer with a face mask- apparently it’s the latest recommendation. I have used a spacer with a mouthpiece for years. The idea is that you breathe normally through the mask , it should be more efficient at delivering the dose of inhaled medication- meaning that

eosinophil - cause for concern
hI I will contact my GP but as a I have been advised that my mild asthma has returned, I had a CBC and got the following eosinophil count - observation 0.9 10*9/l [0.0 - 0.4] is this typical for an asthmatic? does it mean EA? How much of a cause for concern should this be as I am anxious? I have

medical practice changing my inhaler for no apparent reason
I have just received a text message from my medical practice to say they are changing my inhaler from Fostair to Luforbec as per NHSL guidelines don’t know what these guidelines are . I have been on Fostair for 10 years and my asthma has fairly well controlled I’m a bit concerned to make this change

Asthma and mental health effects.
Hi, this is my first post on this forum. I was diagnosed with asthma , mild asthma about two years ago. Went on a reliever first than a preventer . Eventually got the side effects of fasciculations and restless legs at night when trying to get to sleep .In September last year a rheumatologist identified

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
I've spent the best part of the day at my local hospital today. I saw my GP as I'd been experiencing increasing shortness of breath over the last week or so and as I had pericarditis last summer I think they wanted to be sure it wasnt anything similar. So I got sent to the one stop shop aka SDEC, same
