Elevated calcium levels naturally returned to "normal" - still feel like cr@p
To confuse matters, I have recently been found to have slightly elevated calcium levels on several repeat tests, but by the time my GP decided to repeat test this with my parathyroid (
PTH
) hormone, both came back as being within range.

Should I wait for hyperparathyroid to be treated before I try T3?'
I have been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism, high
PTH
hormone and out of range calcium in the blood and urine. Along side my underactive thyroid which has been treated fairly well with keeping my TSH below 1.

Hi, I have my latest blood results and another diagnosis, lucky me!
Latest appointment with gp last Friday when she informed me I have Hyperparathyroidism! You'd think Hypothyroid was enough! She says the results are not clear whether I have Primary with co-existing Vit D deficiency or Vit D deficiency with Secondary Hyperparathyroid. Latest Bloods results: from

B12 and Magnesium
After reading the post by Steve101 on this subject a month ago, I was so intrigued that I decided to seek a medical opinion. Like many people who have had an oesophagectomy, I sometimes suffer from fatigue and a general lack of energy. I forwarded the post to the Chairman of our local Upper GI Network

Low Vitamin D Status is Associated with Increased Titers of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor Antibodies in Graves' Disease
However, the levels of
PTH
in serum were increased in TRAb positive GD patients compared to control subjects.

Not sure what next ??
Hi , Just got results back after a visit to endo. She seemed to think the only thing that might explain my endless horrible symptoms if a slightly low calcium level and has given me 0.25 MCG vit D and asked to see me in three months. Of course I'm ever hopeful but not convinced that there's not more

Chronic Endocrinopathies in TBI (traumatic brain injury) Disease
Analysis of the signs and symptoms of pituitary axis dysfunction suggests that many of these consequences can be attributed to post traumatic hypopituitarism (
PTH
). Post traumatic hypopituitarism may well play a significant role in the progressive signs and symptoms that follow a chronic TBI.
