Failure of Parathyroids months after Total Thyroidectomy. .alphacacidol
I asked my Endo yesterday because my
pth
on a downward slope if I could have alphacacidol then I could cut down the calcichew he reluctantly agreed because if I take them they will help me come of Cacichew but will most likely completely finish my parathyroid off ..what should I do and what r your experiences

Help deciphering results?
PTH
23.2 / 19.2 / 10.7 I've been on a minimal dose (50mg) of T4 since last year, although they're trying to take me off it after I asked to try T3 (10mg), which I was on in the Feb readings.

Increased levo feeling worse
Apologies in advance for my very long post. Feeling really down and would love some advice if anyone can help. 3 months taking 25mcg of levo I noticed a slight improvement in some symptoms, noticeably my mood and the fatigue. I started my increased dose of 50mcg a week ago and I am feeling awful again

How much dialysis helps kidney function
However, dialysis (hemo or PD) cannot replace the hormones the kidneys produce for proper
PTH
levels and other important functions (including production of red blood cells, regulating calcium in bones, etc.).

More test results, can anyone advise
Hi there, I'm hoping for some advice about supplements. My vitamin D was tested and came back at 33, doctor requested further tests which she told me was to ascertain how much of a supplement I need to take. Those tests have come back with the following results Serum parathyroid hormone 5.400 pmol/L
