How quickly does Methotrexate work?
I have to have blood tests on Friday for Vitamin D, bone profile and
PTH
. Then a DXA Scan, so two questions really. 1, could Methotrexate work so fast and does anyone else have Osteoporosis as I see taking Omeprozole can cause bone thinning?

Good response from Endo
He is looking into my high
PTH
. During the appointment he discussed my Thyroid and agrees that I am on the appropriate level of Levothyroxine. He discussed my antibodies and told me that they will eventually destroy my thyroid, so I must have 6 monthly blood tests to ensure I am on the right dose.

Parathyroid hormone high
I have recently been diagnosed with ckd as gfr 54. On looking through my test results I see that my serum parathyroid hormone level is high (6.5 where normal range is 1.1 - 4.7). This has never been mentioned by dr and I don’t know what it means. Is this connected to ckd? I am female aged 49. Thanks.

Advice on results please
I have the usual problem that GP won’t recognise my symptoms. TSH within range, extreme fatigue, low basal body temp 35.9, low pulse at 54. Stopped exercising due to fatigue, was active. Putting on so much weight! Did private thyroid test which showed antibodies. GP advised retake bloods in 6 months.

Rx Vit D Ergocalciferol and K2 MK7
My vit D is 21 and I have high
pth
of 86 now, so I have hyperparathyroidism. I am also excreting a lot of calcium in urine or I was after two tests about 2 years ago. I assume it is the same since my vit d keeps dropping even though I have been taking 3-4000 iu vegan D with k2 drops daily.
