I apologize in advance for a bit of a long post: First I’d like to introduce myself-I’m a mom of 2 girls 5 & 9 living on the east coast and just joined this online community. Hey guys! I just wanted to share an interesting insight about neurodiverse people that came up in my therapy session today. Tldr: Major problem with procrastinating, growing really desperate, any suggestions? Hello, I have been (sort of) diagnosed with adhd a few years back and taking ritalin (20mg retard - is that the correct way to say it in English? It's released over a longer period of time) but it's really affecting

So...my therapist thinks I should find an activity that will help take my mind off of my anxieties and help me get out of my own head. Any suggestions out there?

A little help
I’m losing this fight with Adult ADD. I have slowly made my world small so I don’t have to feel the pain of another person abandoning me again. Of course with this is the overwhelming depression. I’ve tried controlling it, ignoring it, telling myself it just takes will power but I lose every single time

ADHD + Work!
Hey there! My therapist recommended joining a support community, and I am truly so glad to be here. If anyone has some thoughts or suggestions, or just want to share your experiences - here’s a little background on what I’m looking for support on: I am starting a portrait photography journey, in hopes

Is therapy worth it?
I have been in a constant battle with myself and going to talk to someone. I just want something to work. I used to be more depressed than I am now to the point I was suicidal (not anymore thankfully). But I do get down from time to time about myself and my anxiety. I want to know your stories with good

Many Options for Mental Health
I really liked what some of you are saying! Especially short term goals rather than getting overwhelmed with you side effects now and how others are describing their conditions. Everyone is different and everyone reacts differently from meds but it can be a common thread of the side effects. I am almost

The constant pain is making me so low
I’m in the uk and suffering with chronic abdominal pain, following a loooong time with undiagnosed endo and a hysterectomy in 2019. The GP has supposedly tried everything and since I decided not to continue taking pregabalin, they have given up on me. I have a referral to the pain management clinic (

Broken (May be graphic)
I haven't been on here in several months. I was in therapy. Started a new job, which got rid of most of my anxiety. I started seeing someone and it got very serious, very quickly. As a back story, I got divorced in 2015, but my ex and I remained very good friends and he lived with me. We lived together

Any therapist that you highly recommend in Twin cities, Minnesota? I am having a hard time with having my thoughts controlling me and running my life. For example I fear grease and oil from a car shop. Men who work on cars and have black stained hands make my skin crawl. And when I hear that someone

Toxic work environment
I have been in the same job for many years. I have managed my anxiety pretty well for the most part of it. However over the last 5 years things changed alot at work. The management became toxic and so have my coworkers. I gradually began to realize my anxiety was increasing and even my time off was spend

Cognitive Defusion
Good morning all! I just had a productive therapy session and was given some great insights that I thought would be helpful to share and pose some questions here. I do both trauma work and OCD work so I’ll put it into that context, but I think it’s helpful for those of us with multiple disorders.

A Quick Intro-Hello Everyone 😊
Hi there! I’m sure you’ve noticed me popping in and out and I just realized I haven’t properly introduced myself. My name is Alexandra, but everyone calls me Alex. I have had OCD since I was six years old, but didn’t receive formal OCD treatment until I was in my thirties. My themes switch around

Help for Tinnitus and Vertigo/Dizziness
First of all there is no "fix" for these conditions by doctors as there is nothing for them to fix. These noises and feeling are in your body and head and only you can hear or feel the symptoms. If you want help, get the book Rock Steady by Joey Remenyi or check out her website Seeking Balance International

Health Anxiety and Memory
I have had anxiety for as long as I can remember. I am 52 years old now. I will say it does come and go. I can go for a while from having a flare up and then all off a sudden it will grab on to something and we are off to the races. Unfortunately this time it has grabbed on to something that is almost
