NEW GFR POST TRANSPLANT
I was wondering how quickly after transplant the GFR starts showing some normalcy. From my blood test I had yesterday, thursday, I received the results and I was shocked to learn that the day of the surgery, my GFR was down to 8. So after the transplant on January 25th, my GFR is now 57! I am just

This one may require you to think outside box a little. So, a great neuroscientist discovers I revolutionary way to communicate with out vocal transmittance. That would be beyond human evolution dreams or would it. Has anyone seen the series LIMETOWN very thought provoking? Okay imagine communicating

Pain clinic to psychologist to ot, what next I wonder?
So,physiotherapy referred me to the pain clinic, they couldn't do much for me so they referred me to the pain clinic. The pain clinic decided I needed to see a psychologist because I mention I was trembling from the inside out but it's only visible on my left side. Spoke with a very nice lady, who agreed

Therapy Anxiety
Hi again. I go to this therapist twice a week. The problem is he doesn't therapize me, new word. I was just crying and all he did was give me tissues. He was more interested in giving examples from his past about this and that. I am paying for him to help me and I do not feel he is aware of what to do

Struggling with few friends and how to make more
I’m 45 and have always struggled making and keeping friends and many of the reasons why didn’t become crystal clear until I started speaking to a therapist that specializes in ADHD. I’ve always been shy and socially anxious, which I always thought was the reason why nobody ever stuck around, but now

Self-therapy? Can't afford therapist, can't stand self-help.
I'm in an ugly position. Although I'm now "stable" on my meds, and they have been helping to an extent, I'm at the anger/frustration stage - having gone from a procrastinating, lazy, dishevelled slob to a moderately-okay-at-looking-after-myself kind of person, I'm now dealing with the realisation that

Good books on understanding ADHD for teenagers

She was doing great in school before the pandemic, but her grades dropped drastically in last two years and she has also developed a serious tech addiction. I spent hours explaining to

Everyone's experience is very unique with FND/CD. I hope my story is encouraging to someone. Start of CD/FND: Looking back, conversion disorder started for me in a high-stress situation. It was the Fall of 2014 and I was in my first semester of grad school for a phD in Microbiology. I was also in my

Hello peers, I would like to know what your experiences are with taking medication for OCD. Does it help a lot?
I am dealing with a lot of rumination. I do ERP with a specialized therapist, but need to know if meds in addition to therapy will help me more. My anxiety is a lot lower and I feel I can do exposures, but the thoughts are still there. Thank you and I will appreciate your feedback

Trying to find a time management program for executive function issues.
Adult professional with ADHD/executive function issues: Looking for a time management system. A literal system that helps set smaller to larger goals and habits in a clearly structured manner. Also, and very importantly it has an obviously quantifiable way to measure progress. I've spent a lot of time
