happy holidays …. And a quick update
As an update, I’m off all treatments and my
psa
remains <0.014. I remain grateful for the respite. My last degeralix injection and darolutamide was in May, and the SBRT to my ribs and neck about 2 years ago now. The docetaxel also seems a distant memory too.

PSA

Bicalutamide and Eligard
PSA
went up to 0.87. Doctor recommend Eligard (Lupron) with bicalutimide and dutasteride. No choice. I went thru thus on Jan 10, 2024. Hospital said I have to run thru Eligard for 24 months on a quarterly basis. Every 3 month.

Post treatment post ADT time to PSMA test
I’m assuming that since my current
PSA
level is so low (.01) a scan at this point would be pointless. At the same time adjuvant ADT should be taken longer if there is some metastasis. I guess the best scenario would have been to fly overseas to get the scan beforehand but I didn’t.

PSA for PCa Awareness month
There's an App called Nextdoor and they're pretty much in all the cities, even this lil town. I posted on it for men to get screened as a Public Service Announcement for PCa Awareness Month. Many don't know that it's in September, but a whole lot more know that October is Breast Ca Awareness month.

Obtaining EpiSwitch PSE
The test uses
PSA
along with several genetic markers for prostate cancer detection, which is a marked improvement over 4K in specificity. Does anyone have info on getting the test? It's newly available as of mid September. Info at 94percent.com

Pancreas problems after RT for prostate
My
PSA
levels have dropped and progress seems OK. I have also had M.E. and fibromyalgia for over 25 years and, as part of that, IBS. Since starting the hormone therapy and radiotherapy I became more and more constipated and my tolerance of foods (especially hi fibre) increasingly difficult.

Zytiga after failing nubeqa ?
Has anyone had any luck with Zytiga after nubeqa fails to hold down
PSA
? I have been mCRPC for a few years now and Im curious if there is any chance Zytiga would work after the combination of Orgovyx/Nubeqa failed.

Preparing for my Urologist Appointment re Increased PSA -- Including possible biopsy questions
I am preparing questions for my upcoming urologist appointment to discuss increased
PSA
. Any guidance that you veterans of these battles care to give would be appreciated. My total
PSA
is now 5.2 with 18.5% free. Eight months ago my
PSA
was 4.4. (21 months before that, 3.9.)

PSA reading
I had
PSA
resistence so I have been on ADT since April 15. I have my
PSA
checked last week and the report came out yesterday with two results: < 0.006 ( by medical lab with the examination of serum) and < 0.058 ( by nulcear medical check).

Slight PSA increase
Any idea if slightly increased
PSA
could also be a result of treatment (found studies that certain medications can elevate
PSA
serum level) or this is the first sign of castration resistance? Your feedback is very welcomed.

panicking!
So we had the dreaded
PSA
blood test today. His
PSA
a year ago was 0.5, 6 months ago, it was 8.9 and today it is 89.0! So I am in panic mode as I am unsure why this has happened. What treatment will help his
PSA
to lower, bearing in mind his stomach will not accept the tablets?

MRI guided radiation
(View Ray)Our US Prostate leader is recommending Avodart to keep the
PSA
down for as long as possible then Casodex until something better comes available. What are your thoughts on avoiding radiation. I have no problem watching
PSA
just don’t won’t it to metastasized. Thanks Mark
