Update On Eclipse Trial-another failure. Has LU-177 worked for anyone?
Directly after SBRT I started and completed
Provenge
series. A month later PSA went from 2.0 to 1.77 and currently remains at 1.7 Hemoglobin fluctuates between 9 and 10.6, probably due to the Plutonium LU-177 injections damaging bone marrow.

Long Journey
Had
Provenge
. Tried getting onto a clinical trial; I had to cease taking a med that was crucial to my wellbeing. Next up, in 2023, I was hoping to start to do a lot of travel, instead I had 8 rounds of docetaxel. The S/E were not fun. Chemo failed.

Reporting results from Eclipse Trial
I was also approved for
Provenge
yesterday and am trying to start that ASAP as it's most effective at low PSA. I'm guessing that more radiation is in order--just trying to decide between SBRT at UCLA or treatment at California Protons with Carl Rossi.

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
My MO is suggesting
Provenge
if my PSA continues to rise (recheck in November) and possibly palliative radiation for a met in my hip that might be causing pain. She says the data shows radiation to the prostate isn't really beneficial once you've had multiple distant metastases.

Another BiTE gets spit out
The one exception is
Provenge
. BiTEs (Bispecific T-cell Engagers) are in clinical trials. BiTEs are medicines that have one "hook" that connects to a cancer cell antigen (like PSMA) and another hook that brings a T-cell in to kill the cancer cell.

Been on Firmagon with Zytiga and Prednisone PSA rising, what can I do next?
Information in Bio Hoping to try a PARP inhibitor or
Provenge
perhaps, I don’t know much about this, but my medical oncologist keeps mentioning pluvicto, I’m not interested in doing that yet.

Anyone have experience with Provenge? Especially on PSA tests?
I under went
Provenge
treatments for 6 weeks in April 2023, which initially have had little pact on PSA test, which is now at 36. Considering chemo as the next step, but wondering how long I should wait for any
Provenge
impact.

advice for docetaxel
I have done
Provenge
and then lastly a clinical trial through Duke University. My PSA is now around 14, which is the highest it has been since my diagnosis. My latest bone scan showed one new spot in my femur , so my doctor recommends starting docetaxel.

Decision Time Very Soon
There's
Provenge
, which maybe could help T cells to get thru to the cancer cells?? Then, there's clinical trials. My MO suggested one as a possibility - phase 2 for XmAb®20717, which targets PD-1 (what Keytruda does) & CTLA-4. Concerned that no response to PD-1 may not bode well for this.

8/4/23 Update questions for MO
Choose from and possibly combine: Taxotere, Xtandi, Xofigo, and
Provenge
. 4. Switch to xtandi or Casodex 5. Try docetaxel, which works by directly killing cancer cells, but can have substantial side effects, 6.

Feeling sore and tired
A year and a half ago I did a
provenge
and stopped taking Xtandi and started a clinical trial. CC94696 at Duke. I responded well for about six months, but my PSA has started to rise again for the last six months.

Please share your experiences with Provenge. What’s it like getting the injections and what are your results?
My plan is to start
Provenge
after the trial is over. What do you guys think about this?

Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
He stayed on Lupron and Casodex for five years until it failed and he had 2/3 rounds of
provenge
(covid interfered 🙄) and started on Xtandi. He was on Xtandi for three years when his PSA started to rise. It went from .07 to 2.38.

My story so far.....Steely_Dan
Provenge
thrown in for good measure. Currently on Zytiga ( 3.5 years.) PSA last month stood at 0.008. 8.5 years and counting, guess I'm lucky. Approximately one year after DX I decided I needed something to keep me going so after much nudging the Manhattan Community College accepted me.

Advice for next steps for 82 year old dad
In 2020 the medicine began to fail and he had
provenge
and started on Xtandi. Now his Xtandi is failing. His PSA is presently 2.54, up from 1.17 three months ago.. which was about half of that the months prior.
