ADT and mental issues
I have done a dozen ADT sessions (4 weeks to 5 months). Each time I used a low or high-dose estrogen patch. I did one in January/March and did not use an estrogen patch. So my testosterone was close to zero as well as my estrogen. I have never had mental issues when I did ADT. This time I did. Depression

Examining the need for T4/T3 combination therapy
This review article acknowledges the need for combined therapy but provides no reason as to the physiological basis underlying the individual's need. None of our explanatory papers mentioned - too difficult I suppose. I accessed it through the doi number. But at least it's now given full attention. [

Help! What to do after faecal disimpaction
Hello, I'm new to this chat. I have a 3 year old who is currently going through faecal disimpaction. We are on about day 3, seems to be going according to plan. My question is, once all the blocked up poo has been removed and he poo is watery/bitty, can I just encourage lots of fluids and give him prune

Taking hormone pills with Hashimotos
I’ve always avoided the contraceptive pill with my thyroid issue, I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do. I recently had an appointment with an endocrinologist, due to chronic insomnia, which I suspect is due to my low cortisol and low DHEA. She hasn’t confirmed as yet her proposed treatment plan

What is lymphedema?
Author Mary Clare Fischer December 15, 2021 Six important things to know about the bodily fluid that can cause pain, swelling and sometimes more severe issues when it doesn’t move properly. It starts with swelling. Maybe you don’t notice it at first or dismiss it as temporary, a reaction to injury

Sticky Blood and Covid
Hi I had positive antibody tests for two out of the three causing APS and was told by a rheumatologist in Newcastle I had sticky blood. I was going to be given treatment but unfortunately I had to return to live here in South London and the rheumatologists wouldn’t support the diagnosis even though

Severity of side effects from Firmagon/Orgovyx
And another question...my radiation guy thinks that I could get away with 1 year of ADT using the above drug(s) and not unduly increase my risk. I'm trying to get some anecdotal evidence on how 'debilitating' these drugs are. I understand the likely side effects, but want some real-world data. For

psma scan florida - not much confidence in current MO
My dad met with the MO today and was told radiation and hormone therapy. He was also sent for a pet scan, my mom brought up the psma scan and he said yeah that could be a good scan but he needs the pet scan and dismissed her. I’m going to look around to switching over to moffit or dr alemany here in

ADT vacation update
I had a follow up with my MO. I’ve been on an ADT vacation for approximately 7 months. My PSA level is now 0.9 from a 0.1 nadir and my testosterone level is 576. I still have my prostate and a PSA rise was expected as my T level rises. The question is whether the rise is due to my rising T level or an
