What do you think?
Hi. I joined this group because I really need help and advice on how to deal with my health issue and the fact I feel I am not being taken seriously. Throughout my life I've had periods of anxiety and depression, but have otherwise been pretty healthy all in all. About 4 or 5 years ago I began to notice

Has anyone seen the Freeze the fear series on the BBC
Hi I had sever back pain yesterday and out of desperation for something to watch I put Freeze the fear with Wim Hoff on the iplayer. This is not my usual fare but it pricked my interest because I have had a long struggle with autoimmune disease and having had read articles about exposure to extreme cold

Antidepressants and ED
I've been on ADT for 4.5 years. Lupron and Zytiga. We all know the sexual health problems with that. I was getting depressed quite badly at times so I started Citalopram a few days ago. It's already helping but I have noticed a bit more ED. Maybe I have to give it some time to see. There are other anti

First ever PSMA scan shows two small bone lesions
I recently posted about my father who had just completed IMRT and three years of Lupron (no mets seen on bone/CT scans). At the time his MO was suggesting adding Zytiga per studies showing its effectiveness with ADT at diagnosis for localized high grade cancer (he is Gleason 9). MO also ordered PSMA

Vit B12 extremely high
So, I have stage 4 de novo prostate CA. On Lupron, in between 5th & 6th docetaxel chemo. Had to stop abiraterone due to elevated bilirubin & will try restarting after chemo is over. Recently diagnosed with MGUS (Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) which is unrelated to the prostate.

I have been reading everything I can here, but still feel a little terminology and technically lacking. What would be helpful in helping new members is very very basic terms until they get up to speed. I have several questions. I am gleason 8, de novo, lymph node involvement in pelvic region, and one

Body identical oestrogen
Hi, could someone tell me the names of body identical HRT oestrogen? I need to go on a low dose oestrogen (patch or gel?) but I'd like it to be body identical as I also need to go on a body identical progesterone which I know it's called Utrogestan. Thank you!

ADT CVD risk
If you are concerned, perhaps GnRH antagonists (e.g., Firmagon) will fit you better than GnRH agonists (e.g., Lupron). Table 4 Subgroup analysis estimating the risk of MACE associated with GnRH antagonist comparing with GnRH agonist. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41391-022-00596-5/tables/1

Another vacation?
MO wants to take me off ADT after 5 mos PSA down .07 from 3.14 June - October Before the treatment began, the PSA had a 2 mo slope, for the first time. This would be my 3 rd vacation, and beginning of 4th year since 2018 salvage robot prost. I was put on degarelix after 6 mos biological recurrence

Dad is now 73. Lives in Sydney, Australia. Ethnicity is Caucasian. PC history below: 2020 May: PSMA test and rising PSA at 4 give rise to biopsy. Reveals Gleason 4+3 stage 2b. 2020 June: Ends up getting robotic RPC. In post surgery biopsy PC did just breach Prostate capsule. But margins negative.

Oxygen therapy
My hospital Oxygen therapy appointment has been cancelled 3 times. I've been waiting to see if this will aid my breathlessness. I've also tried to get an appointment with the Respiratory nurse in my Dr's Surgery to be told there is a months waiting list to speak to her. You would have thought we would
