Walsh's Folly?
Now let's go out of the box... suppose we could substitute radical
prostatectomy
for the orchiectomy, would there be any change in the plotted outcomes or conclusion?

He was never offered
prostatectomy
as they said there was a small metastases on the pelvis. So he had 2 weeks of radiation on his hip, and was then treated with 6 monthly injections of Decapeptyl, which he still has. Over the years he has taken Xgeva, Xytiga and Erleada.

PSA post Salvage Radiation
He had clean margins and reached undetectable PSA after
Prostatectomy
. Near the end of 5th year after surgery his PSA became detectable. He did salvage radiation at .09 PSA. His PSA went down to .08 after 3 months and to .03 after 6 months.

He underwent a laparoscopic radical
prostatectomy

Open or Robotic Prostatectomy
An open

might give the surgeon a better view of the surgical field. Does anyone have any wisdom to lend me so I can make a choice between open or robotic

Prostate cancer treatment and sexual mutilation
I imagine many people who have a
Prostatectomy
would have more to add. I mean hormone therapy given to sexual imprisoned predators.. so that’s it.

About to commence my treatment BUT now not sure - HELP
I was ok with going down this path as was my RO and then someone said to me, "Why put yourself through 18 months of hell when you can have a
prostatectomy
and it's all over within about 3 months or so." they went on to say that the data shows that the end outcomes of both treatments are very similar.
