Downsizing my Pramipexole doses and Weighing My Options
The timing of doses and the sleepiness feeling & along with the yawning I get from the
Pramipexole
is a real pain but better than the RLS. Plus, sooner or later I assume that I will have augmentation from the Prami.

I am a firm believer in IBUPROFEN. I have been taking a small dose of about 10 - 20 ml of FENAPAED, which is a child's format - and kinder
I take 7 x 125mg MADOPAR and 3 x 0.36mg (each dose being 2 x 0.18mg)
PRAMIPEXOLE
together with 7 x 200mg ENTACAPONE (quite a lot of meds!)

Pramipexole not working now.
I stopped the Zopiclone and experimented with different combinations of
Pramipexole
(sometimes doubled the dose) and co codamol or tramadol. The
Pramipexole
and co codamol worked the best but not as well as I would have liked.

DBS - STN or GPi?
I have been told by my neuro-team that STN DBS would be risky due to some bouts of depression I had last year and also the compulsive behavioural episodes I suffered while on
Pramipexole
. They have recommended GPi DBS - has anyone on here undergone this procedure and, if so, was it successful?

Regarding Fibromyalgia & Thyroid Issues
A few medications that boost dopamine in the brain are used as treatments for Fibro (
pramipexole
/Mirapexin and nefopam/Acupan) and some people do very well with these.

Switch to another Parkinson drug?
I take one
Pramipexole
nightly (0.088mg) for my RLS which, on the whole, works. Augmentation has clearly occurred so, now, I find it difficult to sit down during the afternoon.

bad night
the
pramipexole
work for me so it is strange to suddenly have a bad attack. the only thing different is that i had some dark chocolate during the evening. is it possible that triggered the rl.? i will try two co-codamol tablets and see if they will help.

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
Dopamine agonists (
pramipexole
and ropinirole) do not require any dietetic adjustment. Those who take MAO-B inhibitors (rasagiline or selegiline) should eat with moderation – but not eliminate – foods that contain high concentrations of tyramine.
