Coming off pramipexole.. Is it possible!
I was told a few months after being put on
pramipexole
that I could never come off the medication. It appears to be true. When trying to cut down the tiniest bit, my legs start kicking violently and a couple of hours after that, my arms start punching in the air also.

Sinemet or Not???
Doctor has me on azilect and
pramipexole
. He has wanted me on sinemet for quite some time but I have prolonged due to worry of long term side effects. Biggest affliction is the stiffness and rigidity. Is it worth taking and are others helped by it?

The
pramipexole
makes me so sleepy I can hardly keep my eyes open, but I have to walk all night...the dr has suggested taking another dose but I don't know how I'll be able to handle it & afraid of augmentation.

The Dangers of Taking Pramipexole for An Extended Period of Time
On one occasion I spent three days in the hospital because of a low sodium blood count because of the long term effects of
Pramipexole
. My doctor and I worked together to resolve my addiction to
Pramipexole
and I am not totally off of it as I currently am taking .124 MG X 2 a day.

Pramipexole
I've been on these now for several years and although they work to some extent I have to increase the dose for effect.,unfortunately doctors don't seem to understand how difficult it is to live with this condition,we spend a fortune on other medical problems that are to some extent self inflicted yet

Parkinson's pill with the fastest onset of relief?
Which pill for Parkinson's disease provides the fastest relief from "off" symptoms when chewed and swallowed: carbidopa-levodopa 25-100 mg Orally Dissolving Tablets, or ropinirole Immediate Release, or
pramipexole
Immediate Release ?

AZILECT
I take 5 x 25/100 Sinemet Plus per day plus
Pramipexole
0.18 mg 3 tablets 3 x per day. My symptoms can be very up and down for a few week's then settle down again. When I am told to take more sinemet I seem to feel worse and have to stop. I read somewhere that Azilect can help with walking.

Oxycontin
Having had 13 pretty good years on dopamine agonists for rls and seemingly no augmentation I recently saw a neurologist in Bath who upped my
pramipexole
up to 350mcgs at bedtime which has worked really well at night but the evenings are pretty dire so he has prescribed oxycontin 5mgs to be taken in

I have been trying to stop taking
Pramipexole
for a while. I'm taking .35 mg of extended release and have to take half of a milligram of regular Mirapex to get sleep. It is going ok but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Pramipexole and augmentation
I have been reducing my slow release
Pramipexole
, which has not been too bad, now down to 026mg per day and so far it has been really awful, at the time of writing this 7.40 pm it has been bad since about 6 pm so what it is going to be like when I go to bed I shall probably be hanging off the ceiling

Methadone?
I've tried all of the normal RLS meds (
Pramipexole
, Ropinirole, Neupro patch, Gabapentin, etc.), plus benzodiazepines (Klonopin and Ativan), but opiates seem to work best (Hydrocodone, Methadone). Thanks in advance for any input!

New Member. Annjulia aged 70
I have been taking 1.05mg
pramipexole
each day for the past 5 years and am now suffering from augmentation. My doctor has suggested I stop taking
pramipexole
but has given me no advice as to how to come off the drug. I have cut the dose by 0.35mg and my RLS is becoming unbearable.
