Another Pred journey
I have been 5 years on Pred and 3 years on Actemra A bit of up’s and downs but did very well with no side effects ( except bone loss) Lately got to 3 and poof back to square one again after major flare. Up to 20 mg with a probable 2 year tapering schedule. Probably same thing will happen again below

Pepcid Update
So I’ve been taking Pepcid AC for 4 days now. and I noticed that when I take it before I eat. It works better. I do still get chest pain but not right away after I eat like I used to. Usually is like in 3 hours or later at night. My stomach also doesn’t bloat as much and I can eat a bit more now.

I think I have PTSD
I consistently have intense nightmares to the point that I have to take medication for it (Prazosin.) I don't understand why I keep having nightmares but when I check the symptoms I have nearly all of them. My nightmares are usually about me still being in high school having to redo my senior year even

Apathy, compulsiveness, and how to manage?
If I take enough c/l to feel motivated, I get compulsive, hyperfocused, forget to eat or follow my schedule, stay up too late, etc. This holiday season has disrupted my schedule and I've lost 5 lbs that l'd spent months trying to gain back. If I take less, I don't feel like doing much other than sitting

just releasing my thoughts not expecting answers. Thanks for listening.
I have a doctors appointment this morning by way of phone call. I think I’ve hidden my depression for so long that it feels as if I’ve opened a jack in the box. I released all the pain and guilt and anxiety and stress and my vulnerability into the world and now it’s exploded. I can’t put the lid back

how long for SSRI to work?
How long does it take for SSRI anti depressants to work? Anyone had experience taking it or supporting someone taking it? My partner has recently 3 weeks ago started taking it after having a couple of really bad days feeling suicidal. All through this to me he has seemed ok he’s wanted extra cuddles

SIBO!!! But fearing taking antibiotics, especially Neomicyn… I’ve heard of terrible side effects ( tinnitus and hearing loss).
Hello, here is my doctor's report: ''The report of your hydrogen and methane breath test is positive, both for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth as well as excessive methane-producing bacteria in the large bowel. It may be sensible to consider treatment with non-absorbable antibiotics. If you would

Bad marriage and no family....
I am in a bad marriage and my family is not around and/or do not care. Due to my health I can't move out. His personality and the way he deals is really affecting my will to live. I don't want to be here and I feel it will be a matter of time. I am sick of battling MDD and PTSD. I also deal with an

PDF of Hopkins or Mayo DA Withdrawal protocol??
Hi, I seem to remember a while back finding a link (here I think, maybe on Reddit?) to a PDF someone had gotten from Hopkins, or one of the other big clinics, detailing their precise protocol and what to "expect" when finally off of a DA in terms of days, etc. Can someone please repost that? I went

Venlafaxine and Abilify
Hi everyoneI am on Venlafaxine 126mgs because it's all I can tolerate. I am very sensitive to drugs. My Dr has advised me to add Ability but I am very wary about it. I did add mirtazapine but it made me more depressed. I am worried about side effects or getting worse. I would appreciate feedback

Do your mental struggles show something wonderful about you?
As many know, I am a big advocate of Dr David Burns' work. He wrote "Feeling Great" and does the "Feeling Good" podcast. He developed TEAM CBT which is Testing, Empathy, Agenda-setting, Methods Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He uses a hypothetical situation and asks if there was a magic button that cured

Anxiety
I suffer from bad anxiety, and PTSD from childhood to now, and am 61 years old. I'd like to join this group to see what others do, or get new ideas on helping with these issues. I do mindfulness and breathing techniques, adult coloring. Can't do a lot of exercises because of DDD, and other back problems
