Tingling skin
Hi all, can I have views on this please? I suffer with a sharp, tingling on the skin on my arms. I used to describe it as an itch but it’s very sharp almost to the point of pain. It’s not all the time and I can go years without it but then it’ll start up again. I first had it just before I went through

CT Results - worried about the results
Been diagnosed with asthma and was on Steride but changed to Relvar and Incruse last October. In the summer I had to go on antihistamine and singular. Was doing better but still never 100%. I use alot of ventolin all year round... just had CT scan done, waiting for the written report but GP said what

Blepharitis
For many months my eyes tended to be a little itchy especially the right side but not tearing. I’ve had dry eyes for years and use cyclosporine eye drops. During a time of stress: my husband’s surgery and his car accident I developed a stye inside the lower lid. Optician prescribed drops and hot packs

So itchy I could claw my skin off.
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has suffered extreme itching during their pregnancy? I’m currently 13+2 and I can’t stop itching my skin, my arms, chest, back, sometimes my face. I have been in contact with my midwife who suggested I try calamine cream, which I have, it’s only a short term

Antihistamines
Hello, Hope everyone is keeping well. I suffer with allergies and normally take an over the counter antihistamine (clarityn) I had my embryo transfer 26/10. The advice on the packet is not take during pregnancy so stopped taking them to be safe but the allergies are driving me mad, sneezing, itching

Severe allergic reactions
Hi Has anyone experienced severe allergic reactions that they didn’t have before TT and taking Levothyroxine? The reason I ask is because I was stung by a wasp this morning and I had a severe reaction, so much so that the Paramedics were called and I had to have IV corticosteroids and antihistamines

Update - Immunotherapy treatment
Its been a while since my last post, since my partner was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer with spread to an adrenal gland. I've thought long and hard about posting this as so many are so distressed about their situations, but felt it may help offer some hope to others. My partner was an ideal

Does the NHS (UK) prescribe antihistamine nasal sprays?
Hi, I recently had cause to try and get an antihistamine nasal spray from one of the docs at my practice. I was given short shrift and told that they never prescribe AH nasal sprays and it would only be antihistamine tablets. I was then told to buy my own tablets and that they were only 70p! While they

Antihistamines and cramp
Hello All, does anyone have problems with feet and legs cramps at night? I have read that Cetirizine (antihistamine) with hypothyroid med's can be the cause of these cramps. I do stretches before going to bed, but every now and again, the cramps come back with a vengeance for a week or so, then ease

I Need advice
Hi all I’m new to this group. I’ve decided to join to get some advice since I’m so confused I’m only 17 and I’ve had something wrong with me for 8 months now (since the end of February) and I’ve gone for so many different tests and doctors haven’t got a clue what’s wrong with me I feel like they don

Anyone tried Claritin for pain?
A week or so ago I posted about knee and wrist pain with MF. The pain in my knees has got worse and often now sort of radiates to my thighs and shins. I did some googling (though I never google the scary stuff about MF!) and found some suggestion that Claritin (the antihistamine Loratadine) might be

ALWAYS get a second opinion
I have been through 5 psychiatrists in my life. 3 were absolutely terrible and didn't know what they were doing. This is very common in psychiatry. The quality control is probably the worst of all fields of medicine. It is a guessing game. No lab work to refer to, no ultrasound or biopsy. It's a trial

Itchy itchy itchy!
Hi, I've been on 50mcg Levi for a couple of years. During that time my skin has got more and more itchy. It's all over like my skin is crawling, no rash, no dryness, just gets itchy where anything touches and comes up in raised red marks. At first I thought it was just another symptom of the hypothyroidism
