diverticulitis incontinence
Diverticulitis hot of nowhere. I fell down the stairs, was life flighted to UH main Campus, and had multiple Harkin’s procedures. Gutted thrice, like a catfish. I’ll be with ostomy for rest of my life. It’s been 40 days. Weak as a kitten I’m just in to rehab but still draining. They equipped me

Hiya, went to Sheffield northern general mon 22nd April, told by consultant that I need triple if not quadruple bypass surgery, considered urgent but 3-4month waiting list, my sisters have rang different places to find that some do keyhole or through a vein in the wrist operations, what’s your opinion

change of medication to Atenolol from Bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol for a couple of weeks but I haven’t felt great. I felt tired and foggy most of the time, struggled to get my breath and my feet were freezing. I have spoken to the pharmacist at our surgery and he has changed my medication to Atenolol even though he said Bisoprolol was the preferred

Lying flat
I have been listed for Cataract surgery ,but at the pre op assessment was told I would have to lie flat , I said that's not possible as I have to have a degree of height to get enough air in to my chest which I cant do lying flat, so they tested me lying flat and my oxygen intake dropped to the low eighties

Do testosterone supplements help raise testosterone levels after use of Lupron with radiation?
trying to decide to decide between surgery and radiation w/Lupron as a treatment for prostate cancer. I’m particularly concerned with how long it takes to restore testerone levels after 6 months on Lupron. Does the use of testerone supplements help restore T levels more quickly?

Cold pre surgery will it go ahead?
Has anyone had experience of going into surgery whilst unwell with a virus? I have a sore throat, head, achey and a bit of a cough. Negative covid test. Low BP, high pulse and higher white blood cells at pre op. Obviously fighting infection. Nurse at pre op said I'm fine to go ahead as no temp and not

CA-125: Never elevated (but diagnosed Stage3A2 in Nov 2022)
I was wondering if there are any other Stage3 ovarian cancer survivors who never had elevated CA125 levels in spite of advanced disease? My tumor markers have always been “normal” although Ultrasound and CT scans detected masses before my debulking surgery (total hysterectomy). I completed 6 rounds

life Insurance
I wanted to get opinions regarding my life insurance 800K which will be expiring in a couple of months. I have the option to roll it over to a universal policy but it’s going to cost me 2K a month. I’m still Homone sensitive. And been on ADT and Nubeqa (daroludimide) for the last couple of years. Had

PSA now undetectable with 2 of 35 radiation treatments left to complete. I will start Abiraterone next week, in addition to the Lupron I’m currently on. I’m celebrating today’s victory and wanted to share here. Of course, many days have been consumed with worry over the unknown. This group has been

cataract surgery and istent
I’m having my second cataract op soon. An instant was offered to be done at the same time but I’ve declined this as it didn’t go well in my other eye. I was recently measured for my new lens but they didn’t do an eye test to see what prescription the new lens needs to be. I don’t recall if they did
