Crying
I am crying as I post this. I am blown away by all your responses to the childhood post. I had an idea that I'd have some responses to the post, but not as many as there have been. So many of you have shared your stories and whether there is any "official" connection or not, as far as I am concerned

Overwhelming thoughts of death/dying
Hello, I really need some good reassurance. Today is the new year and since yesterday, I've had a feeling that I am going to die soon. I have NO reason to believe this health wise, but I've had multiple attacks about it today and I've cried a few times too. I have a 3 year old little boy I'm terrified

Tips and Tricks for Panic Attacks
I’ve been through CBT, grounding, self visualization, etc. I know about rubber bands on my wrists to snap, 333, breathing exercises, sticking my face in ice water, aromatherapy. Are there other methods people are using to help get over active panic attacks? Just want to help each other. Thanks

Stormy weather but we get through.
With a certain reluctance i once again laid on a New Year's Eve party, my heart wasn't in it and wanting to be anywhere but in my home, will anyone turn up in the atrocious weather?. I cooked a ham, turkey and beef stroganoff, assortment of cheeses and various sweet concoctions. 30 were invited but

I had to laugh at what I saw
I was on another forum where it was suggested that in order to get rid of your anxiety you should just not think about it....I can't help but not think about it.......this was my response yeah...about that....Work in a prison for 26 years.....don't worry about whether or not you will get assaulted

Driving anxiety
Does anyone have any tips for anxiety and panic attacks revolving around driving? I have been driving for years, and it has never scared me at all. I have previously diagnosed panic disorder, but driving has never brought on a panic attack. One day, a few months ago, I was driving on the highway to come

pip claim
Hi I was wondering if anyone who has had a pip interview over the phone could shed some light on what sort of questions they ask you. As well as IBS I suffer with terrible anxiety and depression I’m really nervous about the call. Kind thoughts for all 🤗

idk why this keeps happening to me. I’m on 30mg of Fluoxetine and 2mg of Alprazolam. They are helping me but not like I want them too. Been on it for 4 yrs and Nothing really changed except I rarely get Panic attacks. Mostly anxiousness and worrying a lot. But today I woke up feeling extremely

Pepcid Update
So I’ve been taking Pepcid AC for 4 days now. and I noticed that when I take it before I eat. It works better. I do still get chest pain but not right away after I eat like I used to. Usually is like in 3 hours or later at night. My stomach also doesn’t bloat as much and I can eat a bit more now.

How to get motivated?
I have told my family that I’ll show up for Christmas Eve dinner tonight. I haven’t left my house in over a year due to anxiety/agoraphobia. Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can just Go over there? I do not want to disappoint my family.

Has anyone had a bad experience with Zoloft? Side Effects?
This is the 4th antidepressant I will be trying as I have agoraphobia as well. I'm wondering what, if any, side effects people have had. Weight gain? Nausea? etc. Any info is appreciated as I'm super skeptical about starting something new during the holiday season!

bodily sensations
Does Anyone else worry about every single sensation they feel I’m their body? I notice any tingle, niggle, shooting pain. Im sure it normal for your body to feel random shooting pains occasionally? Do non anxious people get them and just ignore them? I am starting CBT tomorrow for health anxiety but

Sick and tired
I'm 57, had anxiety and depression as long as I can remember. I'm so tired. I don't want to deal with it anymore. My family is tired of it so I don't talk about it. I have run my friends off in a big fight early this year. My boyfriend is sweet and tries to understand but doesn't get it. My doc wants

Treatment Resistant Depressant
I have had depression since my 20’s and likely in teens. I’m now 56 and my meds are no longer working like they once did. I’m going to be meeting with a clinic about other options ie: ECT etc. I’m very scared and anxious as this feels next level to me in my illness. Have you tried ECT and/or Esketamine

Belittling your Anxiety
I use to fear getting my anxiety attacks! Then something I read that has helped me over the years has been to belittle my Anxiety. Now, I have not fixed my problem but it did help. I used to hide that I had anxiety or intrusive thinking from everyone! Then I read a book that taught me to not
