Besremi approved. Not what?
Updated: 1/27/2022: Tomorrow is the day I start Besremi. I was dx with PV 4/15 (tax day in US) in 2015. Since then I've only had phlebotomies and taken aspirin. I've had no issues or challenges other than low ferritin which I believe contributed to my fatigue. I immediately upon dx began educating

Ongoing knee pain
I just have a question: I was diagnosed with PV 3-19 treating with baby aspirin and
phlebotomy
only. I also have osteoarthritis in knees. I had a knee replacement done 3-19 with continued swelling and now becoming increasing painful.

My HCT was low for me..help.
I had a
phlebotomy
on 8-10. I normally don't get a CBC for 2-3 months after a PB to allow my HCT to get above 42 which is when I get a PB. By on 9-22 I was at the doctor so I got a CBC. It was about 40 days after my
phlebotomy
.

Physician says he won’t order therapeutic phlebotomy for my hematocrit at 48.1 and I’m female!
I’m mad! So mad. My dr says Hydrea is what I should stay on to lower my WBC’s, RBC’s, HCT and platelets! I have been on it for a year and that hasn’t happened. He says I do not have PV because my EPO is normal. It’s very low but considered normal. Should he be basing my dx just on the EPO?

PV, phlebotomy ? Bad veins
I have been told that it can ONLY be done with a 16 ga pre packaged steel needle attached to a
phlebotomy
bag. They basically told me they will keep trying until they find a vein.

The realization I am allergic to medications
After my first therapeutic
phlebotomy
I felt insanely better and even notice my eczema start to clear up but still had eczema. The surprise was I had a new form of eczema that I never had before. I revelry started using Clobetasol to help with the eczema on my hands.

Any Experience with Pegasys and Wound Healing? UPDATED BELOW
From what I have read, it seems like it wouldn't be too bad for my p-vera treatment to discontinue a bit (maybe another
phlebotomy
if I had to). Also does anyone know anything about how long pegasys stays in the body. Has anyone encountered anything like this? thanks everyone.....

Testing Costs
At present we see so many repeated tests because FT4 and/or FT3 were not done, that itself must add to costs -
phlebotomy
as well as analysis. (Especially if the repeat test redoes TSH as well as adding FT4 and/or FT3.) The analyser company might even see some advantage to supplying as a bundle.

I got 4 opinions before I started hydrea
I finally started three months ago along with
phlebotomy
and my counts are already within normal range and I can honestly say I have not had any side effects. They are even considering having me take it every other day now.

Long Term INF Results
It compares INF (Interferon) , HU (Hydrea) and
Phlebotomy
for Jak2 PV over a very long time, starting in 1966 to 2019. The triple comparison is neat by itself. It was most recently published this year.

Pv or NOT PV ?
Later, my doctor said that he would continue the
phlebotomy
and aspirin treatment and that since I was young, there was no need for a bone marrow biopsy. I went on like this for about 5 years.

I suggested she borrow a
phlebotomy
table and she acted like I'd re-invented the wheel. She says I've improved a lot, walking better, swinging my arms better and no stiffness in the elbow. But I see no improvement in the tremor. And the needle sticks wouldn't stop bleeding.

Pegasus, Hu and Iron
I also have issues with anaemia as this affects my restless leg syndrome but as my haematocrit had got to .49 I had my second only
phlebotomy
but a reduced one to try to take this down but not drain my iron too much further as the restless leg, as it gets worse, interferes with my ability to sleep.

Phlebotomy and reducing counts
I was started on hydrea a baby aspirin and
phlebotomy
every 2 weeks. I thought my blood counts would come down very quickly but it’s only gone down 1 point . I am fearful they will want to increase the hydrea ............ If anyone has some words of wisdom it would be appreciated!
