Accidental 5K! Woohoo!
After the 4km notification from mapmyrun I was expecting to hear from Jo with her 5min to go
pep
-talk but it didn’t come. I just kept going, didn’t really think much of it and some good tunes were playing. Next thing I knew, MapMyRun was announcing 5km in 33 and a bit minutes. Delighted with it!

W9 R1 Completed
It was hard work, and I had to give myself a
pep
talk at 25 minutes, but we completed it, I can’t stop smiling 😀

W1 R2 - Run like a gazelle!
I found myself picking up the pace by run 4, (in fact I was being a bit sneaky and running as soon as Jo was back in my ear and would slow a little while after she’d told me to), I just felt so full of
pep
. I was tired but it felt natural to do so, is that normal?

Benepali injections
I’m getting in a bit of a pickle as I find the actual injection hurts - I have to give myself a
pep
talk beforehand (and a chocolatey reward afterwards!). I’m no wimp.

Long day running
Realised that the halfway
pep
talk and bell hadn’t gone, app had paused at 5mins 36. Did quick calculation based on songs played and reckon I did 28 minutes. Music of choice - Long Train Running - The Doobie Brothers https://youtu.be/HP_NE4XZGAc

Mental or Physical?
I was definitely having to
pep
talk myself in the last 2 runs to finish them. But the relief and sense of accomplishment when I’m finished is something I’m starting to enjoy and look forward to.

Low Thyroid Symptoms/Lab Test Results June 2020
I did take a supplement my chiropractor gave me which did give me a little
pep
in my step but it only lasted for a few days. It was a supplement made by Standard Process which contains magnesium citrate and bovine thyroid PMG extract that say it was processed to substantially remove its thyroxin.

WK8R1 Done!!
So after the
pep
guidance from the PT,I got into my groove, I declined the offer from the PT to go a bit faster ,to pick up the pace,it was tempting tho lol, I did increase my pace intermittently through out the first stint until halfway.

First 5k! W8R3
Fast forward to today, I gave myself a
pep
talk and out I went. 5 minutes pasted by pretty quick, my usual calf tighteness hadn't hit yet and I was feeling good. 10 minutes and still good. 4 minutes later, half way point and I felt that growing pain in my calves, heaviness in my legs and tightness in

Week 5 run 3 in the bag at last! 😁
Out today and was cheered on by the
pep
talk at the start of the run. I “ran” even slower than usual (!) and kept thinking, “I can do this” repeatedly all the way round. As it got closer to the end I thought, “well there’s no way I’m giving up now!” and the next thing I knew I’d done it!!

Quotation for Tuesday 26th May 2020
Now and again we need that
pep
talk. Life's not fair and it never will be. Sometimes we seem to think it should be, and in thinking about how unfairly we've been treated we can become down and depressed, which really isn't useful to us.

A Gollum run!
Gave myself a
pep
talk out loud all the way through talking to myself in the third person. Must be definitely losing my marbles! “You’ve got this, five minutes is nothing it’s less than two lots of three and you can do three!”.

Deflated
I gave myself all the usual
pep
talks that have worked in the past. Started the last 5 mins and it was like I was running through mud! To make matters worse the news came on so instead of music that may spur me along I had the latest updates on covid in my ear!!

Isolating during isolation and wishing I could die
I hugged my kids just now as I cry and they give me a
pep
talk. I’m glad they are doing well but I feel like I need to be stronger than this... trying my best... So I guess that’s all I can do... or could I push myself more, or lay off myself more? Maybe this is not my best. I still want to die.

egfr of >60 at 25.
I went to the a&e as I had recently been exposed to HIV to get
PEP
, it was a low risk situation but was still advised that I should start
PEP
for the month. Post-exposure prophylaxis can stop HIV taking hold. I had my bloods done and my GFR came back at >60 mL and my Creatine 0.90 mg/dL.
