Nurse calls me a zebra, I prefer unicorn.
We talk daily almost and he has a new
pep
to his step which is amazing. My paternal grandpa died at 32 years old from liver disease, other grandpa died of colon cancer, uncle passed from Parkinson's disease and alcohol runs on both sides of my family.

have to splash out on some actual wireless earbuds 🤣maybe put them on my Xmas list 😁 the music was quite chilled and relaxed and never really got me going, with the exception of the excellent "hooked on a feeling" by Bjorn Skifs and Blue Swede which put a massive smile on my face and a little extra

During the second
pep
talk about not running too fast because there are still 20 minutes to go, I seriously questioned whether I was going to make it.

Finished week 4, need a pep talk please!
I am feeling like week 5 is a mountain I can't climb at the moment. 4/2 and 4/3 one of the 5minute runs in both I could barely complete as my legs were burning so much, I was slow jogging as slowly as possible and my breathing was good. This has been the issue every time I've tried to get into running

Vitality London 10K / my first 10K !!!! ❤️
Also decided to run with Nike run app, the 10K Head Starts - so coach bennet was giving me motivational
pep
talks every 600 metre or thereabouts ! In brief ‘be kind to yourself’, ‘don’t look at your watch’, and ‘you can hold many contradictions in your mind at the same time and that’s ok’ !

Gentle 5
Morning All 😀 After my
pep
talks and advice earlier this week, this morning I went out for a gentle flat 5k. I ran with a friend which was new as I’ve always been a solo runner, but today I think it worked out well as we were chatting it forced me to go slower which made SO much difference.

Week 9 Run 1
On the walk home I got a phone call from a friend who needed an early morning
pep
talk and this took my mind off my sick feeling and the toilet gremlins which were now kicking in and also being soaking wet.

The emperor's new clothes
My husband is a bee farmer so I should have known better than to stick my hand into a hornets nest (if that makes sense). my real objective in my last post was to encourage those
PeP
who are passionate about curing PD to make a start on assessments of any trials they could consider entering.

Week 8 Run 2
My 12 year old gave me a positive
pep
talk last night 🥰 so with her in my ears I still got up and went early this morning. My field, as it's now known, was beautiful, cool, sunny and empty 😊 What the heck was I worried about? I settled into it straight away, slow and steady.

W8/R3 Struggled...
Shame Jo gave up on that one as with so little energy, I really needed a
pep
-talk! I managed the 28 mins of running just about but I had nothing left in the engine at all after and walked the 5 mins back pretty knackered! Is this normal or maybe an off day?!

Period Pains
I even have to
pep
talk my self and breathe in and out fast. It’s like my stomach and below is on fire. I take strong painkillers and nothing touches it. Hot baths make it worse.

Week 6 Run 3 - Completed with bells on!
The walk to the cafe for my skinny latte and Laura’s post run
pep
talk was all the sweeter for knowing that I had run more like 30 mins than 25. I ran the whole thing as slow as I could which is clearly the key to improving stamina.

W4R3 complete :) Bring on week 5!
Pondering this morning's run, this swiftly changed to Gorillas In The Mist :)) I will admit, I was still a big sleepyhead sloth heading out this morning, whole body felt tired and legs like lead, but once Sanjeev started his
pep
talk and I got into the warm up walk, I started to feel a bit more optimistic
