I have an amazing ability to pick relevant podcasts while driving. Just had my blood work done in preparation of starting Pluvicto and not being able to choose wisely while driving I picked this podcast which i have heard before and have even advocated on this forum before. Dr Chetty is so brilliant

Pacemaker Anxiety
I am shortly to have a biventricular pacemaker fitted and have opted for defibrillator back up. Was very pleased when this was suggested for my heart failure for which medication treatment is restricted by my kidney disease. (Yep. I'm a bit of a wreck !) Now the date is approaching and I'm having cold

City of Hope MAST Trail
Hello everyone, I was very encouraged by the impressive results from this novel cancer-killing virus CF33-hNIS (VAXINIA) clinical trial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9AUCLiQI2o I particularly like the fact that there were nearly no toxicity and adverse effects from this innovative approach except

Atrial Fibrillation in Athletes
Athletes with Atrial Fibrillation, or who are worried about developing it, may be interested in this vid (just out) where two very fit cyclists visited Glenfield Hospital in Leicester (where the British Heart Foundation have a MRI Facility) and get tested. There is then a good discussion on Atrial Fibrillation

K0706 Clinical Trial
I'm recently diagnosed and have not started any PD meds, though my neurologist says Sinemet would probably help my symptoms. I'm not having terrible or disruptive symptoms, just an annoying leg tremor, fatigue and stiffness. I see a PT and exercise, which really helps with the stiffness. I'm postponing

I did run 3 today... While listening to a podcast where Dr Rangan Chatterjee was interviewing a Dr Peter Attia who researches longevity and keeping good health into old age... And part way through Rangan blithely said for people in their 30s a 30minute 5k is... Hmm, I forget the word now but like no

Implantable defibrillator ICD and DVLA - the driving regulations says the LV EF must be over 35? Is this right? So if you get a 1 month ban say if the ICD does pacing do you then need to prove an EF above 35? If so how? Will the cardio order an echocardiogram? The cardio sort of brushed off our

60 DAYS IN, QUICK UPDATE ON TODAY'S DR VISIT huCAR-T 19 IL-18 4th GENERATION CLINICAL TRIAL
60 days have gone by since I received my new T- Cells. I have been neutropenic, average ANC of about 1.0 for the last 2 months and my Fibrinogen levels have been consistently low. I have had to do twice weekly blood checks at Penn Medicine, and most of those tests have resulted in a CRYO infusion

A Correction
A few weeks ago I mentioned that Dr Ohtsuka will be a panellist in an online (Zoom) discussion about AFib and the mini-maze procedure. The WO-MM (Wolf-Ohtsuka Mini Maze) is an adaptation of the Wolf Mini Mazem as performed at the NewHeart Watanabe hospital in Tokyo. Dr Wolf, who is a surgeon at Debakey
