Help with thyroid results
Hi, I’m new to this site and wondered if anyone could help me? In 2019 I had a lymph node in my neck that was raised I had a scan done and it was harmless but a “slightly enlarged lymph node” but they stated “that there was some nodular changes in my thyroid but again within the limits” so since then

Should I switch SSRIs?
Hi all, I’ve been on sertraline for around 14 years on varying dosages. Most recently I was on 150mg, but over the past few weeks I’ve been coming down and I’m now on 50mg, in preparation for a switch to Paroxetine. I take sertraline as I was originally diagnosed with OCD and also had an eating disorder

Blood results - Any Advice?
Hi! Just looking for maintenance recommendations and any advice is greatly appreciated! Went to a new doctor (endocrinologist) to get a 2nd opinion on my thyroid condition. Of course, my goal is to heal and get off meds completely one day but she said she does not feel it is possible. Was first

SCT journey update No.2
Hi all, following on from my last post, have just heard from my clinical nurse that they have found three very good donor matches on the registers!! Have been somewhat impatient waiting but as this situation is so new and different for everyone, has been difficult to gauge what is right or wrong. Anyway

Successfully treated my Multiple Myeloma and now in remission from both MM and PCA
I successfully completed my induction cycles for treatment of my Multiple Myeloma. Mayo Clinic confirmed I am in remission from MM. I completed collection of my stem cells for future transplant if needed. 9 days down there - 21 appointments. The Bone Marrow Transplant Center at the Mayo, does not mess

Borderline TSH during cancer treatment
Hi folks! Haven't been on here for some time but in the interim I have been treated for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Had chemo in September last year which was successful (minus a few hiccups like fungal pneumonia that put me in ICU!) and currently on home oral chemo, antifungals and antibiotics daily

Endo in my abdominal wall
I'm Lizzie and I was diagnosed today at nearly 39 years of age. Endometriosis in my abdomen and ovary. My ferritin levels have been very low for two years and I have missed periods on and off the longest being for 5 months. Apparently, my ostrogen levels are normal/low so I really didn't think my diagnosis

Started T3
Delighted to say that the consultant endo agreed to a 6 month trial of T3. Even better can get it on the NHS where I am. 2 weeks in & I am starting to feel the benefit. I am taking 5mcg twice a day - when I get up & approximately 12 hours later (about 8.30pm). It doesn't seem to be affecting my sleep

Decipher and me
I'm having trouble with my urology team that are doing my TRUS/Fusion biopsy next week. The doc is unwilling to send my sample out right away for Decipher. From what I understand, in my 'high risk' category, just based on MRI, genetic testing may be hugely helpful going forward. For the past week I've

Hi I’m hypothyroid following Graves’ disease then radio iodine about 20 years ago. Was stable on 125 levo until I got Covid and have had long covid - debilitating fatigue - for a year now. I thought it was thyroid related. Following advice on this forum - thank you - I got blood tests and results

T3 Prescribers
Hi, Is there a list or something of endocrinologists who prescribe T3? My T4 is really high and T3 is low and my hair is falling out like crazy. Obviously my GP only gives levothyroxine

low in iron and B12
found out I’m low in iron and I’ve got pernicious anemia. From my understanding having regular B12 injections has lowered my iron and ferritin. Should I put B12 on hold and increase my iron and ferritin? But when I don’t have regular B12 I feel the side effects. I’m taking heme iron once a day.

weaning off T3
Hasanyone successfully weaned off T3? My new NHS UK endo wants me to do this as he’s worried excess T3 leads to osteoporosis so I’m wondering: a) has anyone successfully weaned off T3 and how was the journey and b) has anyone hear this about T3 and osteoporosis? Thanks!
