Peripheral Neuropathy
Now waiting for trial for Spinal Cord Stimulation, which is a bit like having a
pacemaker
implanted in top of buttock, with leads placed along the top of the spinal cord under the vertebrae.

AF and PM
Doctor says l need a
pacemaker
. I am going to install it tomorrow. I had low platelet #,<90k( l doubt eliquis May decrease my platelet #!?). Is that a concern for the pm procedure? l stopped taking eliquis for 2 days. Very frustrating, one treatment leads to another, no real cure in sight!

No more Ablations for me unless I go to Specailist says new Doc
From what I understand if this doesn't get it under control then
pacemaker
would be other option. His concern was after 3 ablations too many.. Supplsedly one guy in Austin is the only other option to do another ablation. So not happy I was doing fine till I blew a gasket.

Update on heart condition...
Recently, I was told I need a
pacemaker
due to stage 2/type 2 heart block, which will almost certainly progress to stage 3 without intervention. I lost insurance recently, which proved impossible to rectify...

Implications of not having pacemaker
Received letter from waiting list office telling him of the need for
pacemaker
but still hasn't seen a doctor/cardiologist at the hospital. He went yesterday for pre-op and spoke to cardiology nurse but he is quite confused about the need for the
pacemaker
.

Medical Alert Bracelet- Pacemaker
I am 33 years old and after having blackouts had a
pacemaker
fitted in March. I currently use a silicon bracelet, but its only cheap and has no information on it other than 'medical alert
pacemaker
fitted' Does anyone have good recommendations for a personalised bracelet?

Just Graduated! 😁🏅😎🏃♀️🏃♂️🌟
I also have all my pulse coming from a
pacemaker
, with a little crystal inside it looking for increased arm movement to boost my pulse more. (So if you see a crazy woman madly throwing her arms around while running, please wave back - it’s probably me trying to get a higher pulse rate!)

Heart and Lung issues
This resulted in having a
Pacemaker
fitted. My pulse had gone down to 25bpm pretty low. The op went well but I now I also have AF. Apart from that my life ticked alongfairly normally.

Pace & Abate
Thought I would update as not been on here for a while .Today is my pre op for my
pacemaker
to be fitted next week it is to be inserted , then onto papworth for the abate when settled in , it’s been a rocky road as can’t tolerate drugs and spasms and rhythmic problems and now slow pulse , saw the EP

URGENT HELP AND ADVICE NEEDED
He has an ICD fitted and a
pacemaker
. He has had cardioversion last week and they found one of the leads have come out so it’s not working properly yet and needs to be refitted. He’s on a range of tablets to. I know that HF will never get better but will his EF improve?

What predicts atrial fibrillation in ibrutinib users?
The other interesting point is that if someone develops this side effect it doesn’t necessarily mean they have to stop the drug, with one person even being fitted with a
pacemaker
so they could continue. It’s a nice short paper.

Pacemaker now fitted
Friday I finally had a
pacemaker
fitted. I'm sore but recovering at home and beating at 60 👍🏽 My oxygen levels are increasing so I am hoping that once the antibiotics are finished and my INR is back up I will feel better re APS too.
