Pacemaker infection forces removal.
6 week post op and have just had
pacemaker
removed yesterday because of infection concerns. Wound hadn't healed and stitches were visible below scab. Tests showed no infection from swab/blood/echo tests but doc wasn't happy with it so as a precaution leads and device have been taken out.

Can you wear a fitbit when you have a pacemaker in?
Ironically the
pacemaker
is in to stop my heart from stopping and this was caused by sleep apnoea.

Has a pacemaker resolved other people's headaches?
Have other people found since having a
pacemaker
put in that it has stopped them from getting dreadful headaches. My
pacemaker
has made a huge difference to the migraines I use to get.

Pacemaker Syndrome?
I am due to have a dual lead
pacemaker
fitted on Tuesday. I know if it works well it will be a good thing, and many people on this forum have said it's a new lease of life. But I am wondering about

Pain after stent
Last month we came to the Philippines to do an angeioplasty and he had 5 stents inserted with a temporary
pacemaker
but he was so uncomfortable because the ICU was ridiculous.

One year since ablation and suffering
The procedure was apparently tricky as I went into heart block and the surgeon said that he nearly had to fit a
pacemaker
. I think I must have a large amount of scar tissue or something because it took me a month to recover to the point where I felt able to work again (I'm a teacher).

6week post PM op.. infection concerns.
Had
pacemaker
fitted 6 week ago, scar still not heeled. Noticed weeping over the weekend, popped into cardiology to let them have a look and have been kept in for infection concerns. They can see stitching under the scab. IV flucloxcillin, chest x-ray, ultrasound, bloods and swabs on the go.

Drs not feeling comfortable reading ECGs if have pacemaker inserted.
Have other people found that if they have a
pacemaker
in, and get heart attack symptoms that the paramedics or doctors at the hospital don't order an ECG? Or the nurses won't do an ECG?

Acheing shoulder
I have a
pacemaker
fitted. I go brisk walking three days a week on a 3 mile route. I have a rather bad ache on my left shoulder next to the
pacemaker
site. Strangley when I bend over to remove my walking boots the pain goes away! I now wear a sponge on my shoulder to ease this pain.
