pneumonia after ablation?h
After ultrasounds on lungs, heart, and groin, cscan on heart, chest exray, EKG, multiple blood tests and assurance that my
pacemaker
was not infected, It was determined that I have pneumonia as a result of fluid and inflammation in lung.

ILR implantation recovery
I was told about this procedure and the
pacemaker
one at the same time, now I can't remember which one means being unable to raise your arm for a time. Is this the case with the ILR?

Sinus arrest
Good morning I wondered whether there is anyone on here who is in their 30s or 40s and has had a
pacemaker
fitted as they have bradycardia and sinus arrest? I recently found out that I have sinus arrest and am feeling very anxious about the
pacemaker
fitting.

I have Mobitz Type 2 - should my children be checked for same?
Hi - I was diagnosed with Mobitz Type 2 heart block in the summer and had
pacemaker
fitted. I have since found out that my father's cousin also has a
pacemaker
. Another of his cousins died suddenly age 19. My father is currently undergoing tests for similar symptoms.

Heart failure and sleep
Currently under review with cardiologist and probably looking at a
pacemaker
CRT upgrade and cardioversion however until this happens I'm struggling on top of other things with my sleep.

How is the HR adjusted via
pacemaker
? I'm researching it, but it seems there is some sort of algorithm that the PM uses to adjust HR when you exercise. It is all very mysterious, and the EP and his staff don't seem to have the time to spare to address all my questions and issues.

~AV Node ablation - 3 days post op~
Whilst I feel I am slowly healing I note that my
pacemaker
was reprogrammed to DDIR (whatever that means) to 70. I feel unsteady + dizzy on my feet and still remain rather pale - I am slightly anemic but wonder if enough blood is getting pumped?

Crtd - can I set the bpm limit myself?
Hi, I had my HA in August, recovery going well and I will soon speak with the specialist regarding a
pacemaker
/ crtd on the NHS. But I have a question for anyone here who has had one implanted:I'm an active runner and plan / hope to be able to continue as much as I possibly can.

PAF conversion pause on Wellue 24-hour AI monitor
I would prefer not going the
pacemaker
route if there was any other option! I am just on 85 years old. On the attached ecg (31st August), it said that 5 small squares equal 1 second. Can any of you with a Wellue ECG monitor confirm that, and how long do you estimate the pause to be?

still getting angina
in Sept, 2023 I had a
pacemaker
fitted. Angiogram showed I had the start of plaque in 2 arteries, but not enough for a stent. cardiologist said that I am fine, but I am still struggling with my breathing, especially uphill.

moving pacemaker
August 2023 I had a
pacemaker
fitted after a heart attack. September the
pacemaker
moved. I called the hospital and was told if I am not in pain everything is okay. The
pacemaker
has since moved again and is pressing on my skin leaving a bruise.

Advice From Overseas
My fear is that I end up with a
pacemaker
eventually. But maybe that happens regardless as my electrical system is obviously whacked out....
