Optic Neuritis Challenges
Optic Neuritis I had my first bout last year - which led to my diagnosis. It was on my optic chiasm so it affected both eyes, one much worse than the other.= After almost a year the one eye is at about 100% and the other comes and goes. I did notice last week that it had gotten worse again in the bad

Mental Acuity?
I'm 60 years old and was diagnosed with PCa at 06/06/2018: PSA 1000 and extensive pelvic metastasis, this is accurate as I'm reading my Dana-Farber treatment history report, obviously started ADT treatment. Then added Taxotere on 07/19/19, strategy of being aggressive to the fight. So, on 02/20/2021

Mets to Parotid Gland
Has anybody had an issue with a Parotid nodule? My PET Scan showed an uptake of an 8mm nodule and we are now looking at an FNA of the Nodule. I have been told it is very rare to have Mets to this but not unheard of. I have only had Mets to lungs and Lymphnods. PSA is still holding at 0.05 so I'm rather

Interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome and endometriosis?
Hi, I have a laparoscopy booked next week to look for endometriosis, which my consultant thinks may be linked to my interstitial cystitis symptoms- does anyone else have this? Do you have any advice on how to manage it? I had my mirena coil removed for the surgery at the surgeons request and now my

Omega-3 Poison for Cancer Tumors
What do you think? Omega-3 Poison for Cancer Tumors Thanks to the support of the Fondation Louvain, the Belgian Cancer Foundation, and the Télévie telethon, the team quickly identified that these acidotic tumor cells responded in diametrically opposite ways depending on the fatty acid they were absorbing

Long-term overall survival of radical prostatectomy patients is often superior to the general population
New German study below [1]. An odd observation. Perhaps the lifestyle changes that men make after diagnosis really do make a difference? It is not surprising that the benefit would diminish with the seriousness of the cancer, but even the high-risk guys did slightly better than the life table. "A total

Hello everyone, I am sooooooooooooooo so so happy as I have been given my operation date (11th June). I am still unsure if I have endo in both ovaries but I shall soon have a better idea of what is going on and if the issue has been resolved. I thought I would post to let others know (who may still

Cancer 'power failure' stops the spread of tumor cells
Sirturo, targeted the fuel supply of cancer cells and blocked metastasis by nearly 85%. The drug had no effects on normal cells, thereby minimizing side-effects. It found that treatment with Sirturo caused a 'power failure," but only in cancer cells. Sirturo is already FDA-approved, with these findings

Ibs tretment
IBS gradually increased in frequency and severity so had to see what I could do. Thanks to the posts here I already feel much better. Used Buscopan which eased the stomach cramps quickly. Now taking probiotics (1 per day) and peppermint oil (2 per day) . Early days but definitely feeling better. Thanks

Warning: Sarcopenia
WARNING: Sarcopenia
Muscle loss is a natural part of aging, but can lead to a reduced quality of life in the best case and to serious injury due to a fall in the worst case. In PWP the consequences of sarcopenia can be even more severe.

A question for Georgia people, but also for everyone. Who of you is interested in the research activities of the Univerity of Georgia?
I am glad that despite Covid-19 blocking to some extent other research into new cancer treatment, research continues. An example is Georgia USA: "Novel form of immunotherapy could revolutionize cancer treatment" ...A novel form of macrophage-based immunotherapy is effective at treatment a broad spectrum

Reminder to new MTX users - your sensitivity to the sun is likely to be increased.
The weather has been so awful that I had forgotten that I had read about this side-effect. Yesterday, I enjoyed a lovely, lazy day watching the bees buzzing around the dandelion flowers in my knee height grass (we're doing No May May) and basking in the weird warmth of the shining orb. I now resemble

Pissing Problems Return
Hello Fellow Warriors! Started two weeks ago with a UI, but was able to empty the tank with some burning and pissing very often. Started on an antibiotic. That didn't help, so on to a different antibiotic that started last Friday. Pissing became more difficult that next day and Sat night thought
