I am wondering what
opioids
are used and how much. I’m trying to gather information for doctors. Also, does switching the
opioids
every so often help make them work better as first line med?

Im new here....The long wait to diagnosis begins.
(okay....no) Their only care was to give me the option of staying over the weekend and being dosed up on
opioids
to 'manage the pain' (im seriously not a fan of that and want to get to the bottom of the cause of this horrendous pain! Not just manage it!)

My inclination is that low dose
opioids
might be the answer but we all know how most doctors feel about prescribing
opioids
.

Educate Yourself Before Treatment
Thank God that I’m hooked-up with Pain Management ... the narcotics prescriptions not only help to eliminate ... to stopping the pain, but being a drug (
opioids
), my mind and emotions are in control to some degree (at least for a few hours each day). —————— Smile! At least I’m still alive!

I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish so have tried watching a few YouTube lessons but my brain just drifts & I start thinking of other things, my concentration span is zero with all these
opioids
they’ve put me on. Does anybody have any suggestions or advice?

Fibromyalgia: A Primary Care Approach
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs),
opioids

What are those of us that are in more pain than I could have ever imagine a person could live with supposed to do now that the government has almost gotten rid of all opioid? Fine but please replace it with something else. I have an awesome doc but he's retiring early he said he didn't go to school

I have tried every painkiller including
opioids
to no avail. The artificial tears of whatever brand don't help much either.

For those of us using
opioids
for any reason, this guide written by Doctor Dustin Sulak might be of help. It is clear, concise, and well-referenced. It is chiefly concerned with pain and the opioid epidemic.

Do I really have PMR, should I be here? Rheumatologist suggested dx due to symptoms, but there are other possibilities. A newbie to site.
A new rheumy in a new city has questioned dxes, found advanced degenerative disc disease, and has helped me stop taking
opioids
. I iust began switching from pred 7mg to 30mg hydrocortisone and then started having muscle aches and pains suggestive of PMR along with very bad fatigue.

Pain Sucks!!
As a result of all this chronic pain, I became a drug addict of
opioids
, & Xanax. But I have been drug free for about 4 years now. I still take
opioids
, but they are controlled, only take it as a last resort & I let my mom know when I take a strong pain med, so we keep track.

Things that trigger and help my RLS
If my legs feel kicky I’ll massage my calf muscle in a “vibrating motion” loosening the muscle, orgasms, weed,
opioids
.. being intoxicated on alcohol I never liked the psychoactive effects of weed but I will admit I slept the best when I did use it and my legs never kicked.

Love some advice about oxycodone
I worry about taking
opioids
constantly but RLS is completely out of control with flailing and jerking arms and legs during night and very little sleep. Thank you so much.

All about cannabis
The information that cannabis potentiates
opioids
, allowing you to lower your dose, is very valuable for a start. https://two.thesacredplant.com/docuseries

My Medications for Fibromylgia
I started out with 14 5mg per day, now since the scare on
opioids
, I am down to 270 per month instead of 415. Anyhow oxycodone takes my pain away. I take 3 in the morning, 3 about 4 o'clock and 3 at bedtime. I have been on oxycodone for 7 years now and it is only thing that takes the pain away.

The real "DRUG WAR FACTS..."
If I died in the emergency ward right now, since I have
OPIOIDS
in my system, my death would be blamed on
opioids
. I would be a static. But, when I get to the Coroner's table, the autopsy might show I had hit the crack pipe and had 2 pints of Jim Beam in me!
