Blood test confusion
Hi there, I’ve never been formally diagnosed with endometriosis but was told by my GP at 14 that I likely had it, but there was no point in confirming as the procedure to do so was evasive, there’s no treatment except the pill, and it would all sort itself out once I got pregnant. Symptoms were long

Perculiar symptom (earache)
Hi all, This is a really random symptom I have and I am convinced it's linked to high estrogen levels or hormones. Every month I will get an earache with sinus pain across my cheek prior to my period. Ive noticed it for a number of years and only recently put 2 and 2 together, but I also haven't asked

How many estrogen patches should I use?
I had a nice breakthrough today. 😀 I collected all of the available data on the number of estrogen patches that the studies have used, and plotted the measured serum estradiol level versus total milligrams of estrogen used every week. I was pleasantly surprised when all five of the data points

HRT FET - Day of transfer?
Hi everyone and thanks for the lovely support in this group - it’s been a comfort reading all the previous posts. I’m doing my first HRT FET, and just wondering around what day of the cycle people’s transfers were? My plan says to take oestrogen from day 1, then have a scan on day 8, and that’s it

Itcing and cramp in menopause
I'm 62, a late comer to the menopause. No hit flushes as such, just overall hotness. When estrogen starts to diminish, does it do it bit by bit? I seem to be ok for a while, then another symptom kicks in. Atm I have itchy arms and sore joints. It's a bit debilitating. Also cramp has returned in

How many Estrogen Patches to use?
Here's a plot of the Estradiol serum concentration (pg/mL) as a function of total dose (micrograms) of estrogen patches over 1 week. The plot tells the number of patches and how often to change them. The three data points fall nicely on a straight line, which makes good sense. The PATCH study used

Estrogen has been used for 85 years.
I made this chart which shows the historical timeline of Estrogen use for treating prostate cancer. Estrogen has been used for about 85 years, with various forms of delivery. With the exception of high-dose oral estrogen (DES) causing blood clots from 1945 to 1970, the other forms of estrogen (e.g.

Unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy anxiety?
I have surgery next week and I’m terrified. They say they can ‘probably’ do it laparoscopically, but this really isn’t reassuring. The thought of the scars, people going inside me, being so vulnerable to others, the pain, the hospital itself, having people feel sorry for me, it’s all making me sick and

My last sex hormone blood test showed my testosterone at
1.91!

(range of 0.10-1.42) This concerns my Endo doc who has been amazing treating my thyroid issues, but has now informed me that AFTER
age 60
you shouldn't BEGIN hrt. 😪 So, that's out of the question for me since

medication change
hi I’m 5 days after FET, and the last couple of days I’ve got a banging headache, I’m on Estrogen and progesterone, when I initially took the estrógen it gave me a headache, then settled down on its own, but this next box I’ve started is the same strength different brand could this be causing the headaches

Looking for Estrogen users...
Hello, I'm doing a survey of estrogen users. I'd like to find out: 1. How many patches or gel pumps do you use a day, or a week? And what dose of E2 patches do you use? 2. What's your PSA? 3. What's your estradiol? 4. What's your testosterone? 5. What's your DHT (if you measure it)? 6. How

Doubling Times and PSA acceleration - Part II
This is a more realistic schematic plot of PSA levels increasing over time at an ever faster rate (acceleration). What could cause this? My theory is that as the tumor grows, the number of androgen receptors (ARs) increases proportionally. That makes sense...more PCa cells inside a tumor...more ARs

BFP now BFN after transfer
I had a frozen embryo transfer, tested positive last week and continuing to take progesterone and estrogen. I did a test today, and then a couple more to make sure, but they all now say negative. Can the estrogen and progesterone prevent bleeding and early miscarriage symptoms? I have a viability scan
