Hello all, I was first diagnosed with heart failure in November 2017, had an ICD fitted 6 months later. Last June I was taken into hospital with sepsis, I went into septic shock twice and almost died twice, they suspected that those nasty little critters were hiding in the ICD. After returning home

Hi Everyone, I have placed several posts following my partners ICD Implant at the End of Jan this year, mainly primary questions about it healing etc and what he can an can't do etc. However a couple of months down the line and wound healed great etc he keeps mentioning it's uncomfortable positioning

afib and sleep apnea
I have had 3 failed ablations and my dr ordered a sleep study to see if there is an underlying cause to my afib (I’m 38/f) have had afib since end of 2021. No medication works either. I guess my question is how many ppl also have sleep apnea and afib. Did it help your afib treating the sleep apnea

FEAR!
What do you do when your spouse drinks and is CRUELER than usual and you know you should get away but you fear for the cats, you had hip surgery last summer and still not that strong yet and now agoraphobia returns. Afraid to stay. Afraid to leave. Going to try to go to an Al Anon meeting if I get

panic disorder
hello all I’m new to this and thought I would give this forum a go and see how living with anxiety affects other people as well as myself as I know a lot of people have these disorders. I would appreciate any advice, feedback and suggestions to help me live a normal life. I wish you all well as I know

ICD Firing
I’ve recently (6 weeks ago) had a icd fitted for VT. I am also in stubborn AF. This was all very sudden. I’m a 46 year old who has been active and fit previously. Last Wednesday I was out for a light run, and the ICD fired as my AF triggered it. I felt absolutely fine so the shock came as quite a, well

S-ICD - Am I still able to exercise as normal without too many limitations?
Hi all, thanks for reading! I’m in my early 30’s and have recently been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and I’m having a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) put in soon. I am very sporty and love running (fortunately my specialists have said I can carry on with this but I now

serotonin syndrome
I have a mild case of serotin syndrome… done stuff I shouldn’t have but anxiety and depression is creeping back up on me…. The issue is I’m not sure if I’m really disappointed in people or if the syndrome talking … there times where it just easier to get lost in my made up reality then live in funk

Advice
I had an experience recently that has left me with what feels like a very difficult decision. I’ve had people telling me for years that I should get diagnosed again for my ADHD so that I can get some medication. I’ve been very resistant to it for a long time. I guess I was just concerned about the side

Waking up at night. Headache. Ptsd nightmares. Nausea and headache. Overwhelmed
So i told you i randomly wake up at night. Mom said it was because i had rested but i didn't feel like that. She went to work. I started having insane headache and everything was irritating me. I went to sleep. I had really vivid nightmares about dad and his new family (my biggest ptsd trigger) and him

surviving the rat race.
I moved cities recently to peruse my art career. Which was a bold step for me. I don’t really like change. Although I was excited about the possibility of finally living my dream and having opportunities in this town I didn’t have before. I could reinvent myself. Live the life I’ve always wanted. Well
