Proton treatment - fatigue?
Partner is 66 and has Gleason 7=4+3. He began ADT 4 months ago, with 1 month Lupron shot, then Orgovyx. Other than having some ADT mild fatigue, generally later getting up in the morning, sleepiness around 3 pm, and going to bed a bit earlier, things have pretty much been the same. No hot flashes

Stuffy Ears
Hello all, I have been on Lupron now for 14 months, out of a scheduled 24. About 5 weeks ago, I began to suffer from stuffy ears. Today, my hearing has decreased such that I can no longer hear my alarm clock or phone. I was examined by my PCP, but she didn’t see anything. She referred me to the audiologist

PALB2 genetic defect-Lynparza
I have PALB2 genetic defect. Just completed six cycles of Taxotere as part of triple therapy (chemo, Nubeqa and ADT) for about 20 Mets (PSMA scan) mostly skeletal (no organs). Only four Mets still lit up on PSMA scan after four cycles of chemo/Lupron/Nubeqa. Next PSMA scan in Jan. 2024. Oncologist recommends

Low hemoglobin, and foot neuropathy common with ADT?
I was on Lupon for six months, three years ago and experienced feet going numb mostly at night and low hemoglobin. Those issues subsided once stopping Lupron for a few months. These symptoms became more acute during the last two years on Orgovyx with hemoglobin dropping to 9. ( I also had four

Vacation from Lupron/Zytiga - Temporary or Permanent!
I have been on ADT (Lupron/Zytiga) for 2.5 years. PSA and testosterone immeasurable currently. Looking to go on "vacation" from meds. History: Gleason 8/9 with a PSA of only 1.89 (on Finasteride). CT/Bone scan did not show any definite metastasis. PSMA PET showed "possible" metastasis in 4 spots

Starting Abiraterone and predniSONE
Tomorrow morning I take my first dose of Abiraterone (Zytiga) and predniSONE for metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer. I don't know what kind of side effects I would get. I hope I would tolerate the treatment well. Reaching this stage of my cancer I reflect on my 12 year journey with prostate

PSA & T is up
We started this journey in June 2022 and hit this PC with triple therapy to stop the cancer that had already attacked his whole skeleton. Treatment options
Hi- I have posted a few times about my brother who was diagnosed in March 2021. For 18 months he did really well on Abiterone. His PSA went from his initial diagnosis of 52 to under 0.03 for several months. He has Kaiser HMO and unfortunately his oncologist retired at the time his PSA starting trending

Thinking of taking an ADT vacation
Hi, just got my latest PSA result yesterday...it was 0.07 ug/l down from 0.14 ug/l one month ago. I'm almost at the 6 month mark of my ADT journey. Six months ago, my PSA was 14.9 ug/l. I'm thinking of taking a break from the ADT because of the side effects. Is it too risky? Would the PSA start

reduced mobility and energy on Lupron and lubecka
My husband’s ability to walk and to climb stairs and his energy level is much diminished now that he has been on lupron and lubecka for about a year and a half. Is this typical? What do other men taking these drugs do to maintain their energy level and to stay mobile?

History of my cancer becoming castrate resistant
Thinking that some people might be interested to know how my metastatic cancer became castrate resistant I posting a brief history. When on Lupron break, my PSA reached 1.1 on June 1, 2022. I had a CT scan which found a new lymph node enlargement [Retrocaval lymph node measures 0.5 x 1.1 cm (series

Talazoparib with Xtandi
All, I’m starting talazoparib 0.5 mg this week in combo with Xtandi and Lupron. I’ve been on Lupron and Xtandi for 7 months without issue. I’m now in progression and hoping talazoparib in combo will help. Anyone else have experienced this combo? any advice or things to look out for?

tumor in spleen
my husband is having his spleen out very soon due to 2 tumors. We won’t know for sure if they are cancer until pathology done. He had radiation plus Lupron and has been in remission 2 years. 4 + 4 Psa still non detectable. Tumors picked up on pet scan to check kidney. Radiologist has said rare

Is my cancer castrate resistant?
Since detection of abdominal and pelvic mesastasis by PSMA scan in October 2018, intermittant Lupron was very effective in keeping my cancer under control until July 2022. From July 2022 until now I have been on continuous Lupron because PSA refused to become undetectable. From July 2022 until August

Cavernous Tumor & Rising PSA
My husband had triple therapy with docetaxel (finished chemo in January), darolutimide, and Firmagon/Lupron. Recently he developed what seemed like a sinus infection but was really a tumor in his sinus cavity and behind his eye socket wrapped around his carotid arteries on the plate of his skull (

what if I stop taking Zytiga?
Diagnosed about 14 months ago with metastasis to spine and prostate bed. Started Lupron and Zytiga w/ prednisone. I have seriously struggled staying on Zytiga. The usual side effects are bad enough but three months ago my blood pressure spiked to 222/110 sending me to the ER. I’ve never had high blood
