What are some things to do when having a mental block, and not beign able to study?
The only medication I'm currently on is Voxra, which is an antidepressant containing dopamin and
noradrenaline
. Mostly because my diagnosis havn't been finished. So my question is: If anyone has dealt with something similair, and if so how'd you deal with it? Thanks in advance!

Monoamine oxidase.
New study below [1]. Don't be turned off by the title. The botton line is that a drug used as an anti-depressant might have a profound impact on PCa progression. Monoamine oxidase [MAO] is an enzyme family with two members. The new paper is concerned with MAO-A, which breaks down serotonin, melatonin

Clorgyline & MAOA
New paper below [1]. Why read further? Clorgyline [2] is an antidepressant & may have a role to play in advanced PCa. {For those who want to skip the papers, see link [4].} Clorgyline is an inhibitor of MAOA (monoamine oxidase A), a mitochondrial enzyme that degrades neurotransmitters including serotonin

DNA Testing
I did a DNA test for my PD dad back in February (around the time he had worsening dementia) and got the results back recently. There's a section on neurotransmitters, ie dopamine, norepinephrine etc and shows he has risks with Parkinsons. Not sure how accurate these tests are, obviously no idea what

Acetylcholine Deficiency plays a big role in why people with ADHD have multiple troubling symptoms/tendencies.
As if lacking Dopamine, Serotonin, Norepinephrine, GABA etc. was not enough? As some of you on here have read and noticed, I am a strong supporter and user of helpful supplements to combat the negative side effects that come come with taking continued ADHD stimulant medication. I take a low dose stimulant

B VITAMINS ARE VITAL. I did not recover from Hashi's til I took individual B vitamins
DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL 8 B VITAMINS? Most medical students are taught that people do not need vitamins and supplements. If you eat a balanced diet, they are told, you get all of the nutrients needed. I was told this in medical school and it is still the mantra being disseminated decades later. The

Correlation Between ADHD subtype and Libido
There is a strong correlation between ADHD subtype and Libido. This stems from the differences in neurochemistry of the 3 subtypes. From my studies I frequently encountered information mentioning how people with the Hyperactive subtype are constantly looking for things/activities to make them feel

He feet are still dark purple due to the
Noradrenaline

Post sepsis syndrome symptoms
I had to go to hdu for
noradrenaline
as no amount of IV fluids would increase it. I was lucky not to get ARD, DIC or organ failure but did have a raised troponin without chest pain (which apparently means I could have died apparently). I was in for around a week in total.

My harrowing patient journey
As my blood pressure was still not rising, I was taken to HDU for
noradrenaline
. I had deranged clotting, raised ggt, glucose, procalcitonin and troponin without chest pain. My Hb was low. I was there for 2 days, then in a HDU step-down ward and then a urology ward.

Dentistry - 'noradrenaline'?
The dentist said something about '
noradrenaline
' which I accepted as it sounded different, but now I am not so sure. Can anyone explain to me what
noradrenaline
is. Is it what I want, or just another name for adrenaline injections, to be avoided if at all possible? Thank you!
