Trying to get to retirement before HT
Hi All, I'm currently 65 years old. My PSA level before the biopsy was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December. I'm currently overseas and won't return

Reducing NDT
Hi everyone, I have redone the thyroid panel after stopping supplement with biotin (small amount) for over a week but my results are still too high. I’ve got Hashimoto’s and been on 3.5 grains of Thyroid S for 4 years now. I gave birth 3 months back and started new batch of Thyroid S a week after.

ADT for how long..
Hi, folks. I underwent whole pelvic irradiation 6 months ago - prostatectomy (2019), PT3A, and lodge irradiation (2020), just after gallium PSMA picked two small illiac nodes with PSMA around 2,5, both. My doctor had said I would be given 6 months of ADT back then, but now he just tripled the journey

Asking for best guess info
As I've written, my husband stopped all treatment this past July after Lupron/Xtandi were causing worsening SEs while PSA was doubling/tripling from undetectable. He's now receiving palliative care and just had his first comprehensive bloodwork since the MO's on June 30. At that time his PSA registered

Brother's numbers since ADT plus Orchiectomey since diagnosed in February
Hi folks. I've been reading daily posts here since February when my brother was diagnosed with metastatic PC in February after a reading of 367.8 PSA. Thanks for all the good information! Cancer is in his skull, ribs, lymth nodes, and spine. He had one ADT injection right away and opted for an Orchiectomey

Rp on july of 22 for gleason 3+4 with psa of 16. PT3b, pN1 with negative margins and 2 of 11 lymph nodes involved. I took a nomogram online and came out 75% likely for recurrence. My first psa post op was .02, then .03, .04, .04, .05 in late august- so I've crossed line #1. Which is a bummer but not

wondering if traction for back is advised while on ADT
my nutty question, I have a back stretcher and it will pull vertebrae apart. U can do same by lying flat on a table gradually pulling yourself forward till abdomen and chest are perpendicular to floor and arms touching. Try at your own risk. I am not a doctor just an orthopedic nightmare with hundreds

Castration resistant in just a year? Normal or not? Provenge in my future.
I'm already "mildly symptomatic castration resistant." PSA tripled in the last 30 days (but still extremely low), after doubling in the prior 3 months. I was diagnosed with stage 4b (mets in multiple bones and nodes) ductal and started ADT 13 months ago. Nubeqa and Docetaxel (Triplet therapy) started

Ugg, can we talk erections
So, even with Cialis I am having issues getting erect and certainly having an orgasm. Some questions for the group: 1. How much of this is the hormone therapy? Meaning, likely by now (more than 2mths on ADT) my testo has dropped very very far right? 2. Why doesnt Cialis help? 3. What is my outcome

IVF medication following BFP for those with POF?
Hi everyone Hoping to find a consensus re: dates of stopping hormone treatment for those with premature ovarian failure going through IVF. Recently thrilled to get a BFP following D5 DE FET (still early days, only 4.5 weeks along). My clinic seem to adopt a 'one-size fits all' approach and stops progesterone

Provenge criteria necessary for acceptance.
Apparently Medicare will pay for Provenge provided we are castrate resistant and metastatic. But are there other requirements like certain PSA parameters and lower testosterone levels? Do we have to remain on ADT while being treated with Provenge?

Radiation treatment for gynecomastia? Anyone?
As we all know, ADT treatments can cause a side effect known as gynecomastia. I am experiencing gynecomastia after being on Orgovyx and am considering the radiation treatment for it. Has anyone out there done the radiation treatment for gynecomastia? How did it work out for you? Did you experience

Emotional lability and LT ADT
At certain times of extra stress, like awaiting a PSA test result, I have gotten into wrist-slap trouble by making awkward humor and remarks to Clinic staff. They get PO'ed and tattle to my MO. It's really not like me and the latest incident prompted me to look into ADT and emotional SE's. Bingo!

No difference in SBRT vs conventionally fractionated radiation for intermediate risk patients
6-year update of PACE-B randomized trial continues to show no difference in outcomes.
